Chapter 41

~Minseo~

The day finally came.

I thanked the company that I was employed at and was hugged by Kijoon. After talking things out with him, we grew close again. I realised I was stupid with how I behaved around him after he rejected me. Truth be told, he wasn't in the wrong at all. It was me. I should have realised it sooner.

"I'm going to miss you," Kijoon said, hands on my shoulders. "You have to ring me, alright?"

I grinned, nodding. "Yeah, I will."

Kijoon and I excused ourselves from the other staff members and then he pulled me to the side. He glanced around the area to make sure we were alone before whispering, "Hey, what's with you and Taehyung?"

I jerked at that, "What?"

Kijoon smirked, "Don't think I haven't noticed. The guy didn't exactly like me. I've noticed it since we started working with them."

"It's not like—"

He placed his hands on his knees, bending down so that we can make eye contact. "Minseo, I'm not blind."

I stared at him. Well, damn what am I supposed to say to that? Ever since that night, Taehyung went back to treating me differently. He wasn't in my space as much – probably because he's really busy with all these events and awards show. I was busy editing and wrapping up their reality show. We hardly saw each other and almost never texted. Although I was a little disappointed, I knew it was for the best.

"Knowing how he feels, you're still going to leave him?" Kijoon asked, quietly.

I bring my eyes to meet his. "Kijoon—"

"It's your decision," Kijoon shook me lightly, "I'm just asking, as a friend who wants the best for you, if that's what you really want to do?"

"We don't belong together."

"Who says?" Kijoon arched his eyebrows, "People who don't know you two personally? What you two share?"

"I'm a fan too," I reminded him.

He shook his head, "You don't get it, Minseo."

I rolled my eyes.

"This kind of love only comes once in a lifetime."

I choked. "L-love?"

Kijoon pressed his finger to my lips, "Uh-uh. Don't go saying things you'll regret."

I frowned and he removed his finger from my lips. "You are almost never around. How would you know?"

"When I am around, I see things," Kijoon corrected me. "And I know what my eyes are telling me. Taehyung... he's a good guy."

I blinked, "What?"

He shook his head. "Just make sure this is what you really want, Minseo. Please."

~Jimin~

The members sat in the van in silence. It's been that way since they came home and saw the state Taehyung was in. Although they didn't want to leave him, they knew it's best if they leave him.

"She broke him," Jimin said, breaking the silence. He ran a hand down his face, tiredly, "What do we do?"

For a few seconds, no one said anything. They were all thinking the same thing and worried about Taehyung.

"Taehyung said his part," Yoongi replied, still facing the window. "Now it's up to her."

Seokjin laughed softly but anyone can tell he wasn't amused by the whole thing. "Minseo's made up her mind since the beginning. She's not going to change it now."

"Sucks," Namjoon murmured. "We were rooting for them. They were good together."

"Some things are just not meant to be," Jungkook said, quietly.

Hoseok's eyes slid to the members and he smiled even though they were all either looking outside the windows or looking down at their hands. "I wouldn't say that."

Jimin lifted his eyes to meet Hoseok who winked at him. Jimin was about to ask him what he means when his phone started vibrating. Like always, his heart raced at the sight of the name that flashed on his screen... but unlike always, he ignored it.
