Chapter 18
~Taehyung~
Yoongi let out a low whistle, "That didn't go well."
"Yoongi, shut it," Seokjin snapped.
"Why did you have to talk to her like that?" Jungkook groaned. "Hyung, you made her sad."
"Way to make things awkward," Jimin scolded him, "She's our photographer, isn't she?"
"Do you not care about how I feel at all?" Taehyung asked, his eyes on the door, his heart racing from seeing Minseo. He glanced down at his hand before curling it into a fist. Minseo was so close to him but he couldn't touch her even if he wanted to.
"It's not like you to talk like that," Jimin said, resting a hand on Taehyung's shoulder. "What's wrong?"
"That's him meeting jealousy," Yoongi smirked and Taehyung lifted his eyes, glaring at Yoongi. "I saw the way you were looking at her before you barged in here."
Taehyung looked away, not wanting to answer.
"So he's jealous," Namjoon grinned and Taehyung directed his glare towards him. Namjoon chuckled, "Come on, Taehyung. We need to go greet the other photographer and the staff members."
"Can't believe you made us follow you like that," Hoseok said to Yoongi. "I was worried for a second."
"Exactly," Seokjin added. "Yoongi barged into the room before ushering us out without explaining anything."
"I can't be the only one enjoying to show," Yoongi replied, smiling slyly.
As Taehyung and the members made their way to greet the staff members, he saw that Minseo was nowhere in sight. Same with that guy who was with her. Just as he was about to ask where their photographers were, he saw Minseo being dragged back into the room by that guy. Kijoon.
"But I'm sick!" they heard Minseo whined, grabbing that guy's arm with both her hands, trying to stop him from dragging her.
"You are so not," Kijoon scowled.
"I am so!"
"You're not even feverish!"
"It's the kind where I don't get feverish," she shot back.
Kijoon pinched the bridge of his nose, sighing, "If you were sick then you wouldn't have the energy to argue with me."
Minseo closed her mouth at that and rolled her eyes in response before dropping her hands to her side.
Kijoon's eyes found Taehyung's and then he flashed a smile before dragging Minseo over. She batted his hand away from her and then crossed her arms before following Kijoon from behind.
Kijoon offered a hand, "Hello. I'm Kijoon. I'm one of the photographers who will be working with you guys on this shoot."
All of the members shook his hand before introducing themselves. Taehyung's eyes stayed on Minseo and he saw that the redness around her eyes were probably because of him. Damn, did he make her cry?
When Minseo didn't introduce herself, Kijoon tried to push her forward towards them but she stayed hidden behind him and grabbed hold of Kijoon's shirt.
She shot a glare at Taehyung who raised his eyebrows at that. Then she turned to the rest of his members and then flashed the smile that made Taehyung fell. That smile that he loves so much.
"I'm Minseo," she said while smiling. "I'm the other photographer who will be working with you guys."
"She's covering for a co-worker who fell ill last night," Kijoon explained. "She's new but I promise she's good."
Minseo grinned at the compliment before letting go of Kijoon's shirt. "Yeah, what he said."
"We've met before, haven't we?" Yoongi asked, smiling.
Taehyung shifted his gaze to Yoongi and then back to Minseo. They've met before?
"The night of our performance, right? We bumped into each other in the hallway."
Minseo smiled, nodding, "Yes, that was me."
Yoongi glanced at Taehyung and then back to Minseo, grinning, "What a coincidence this is."
Taehyung turned his attention towards the set, saying loudly, "Let's start."
~Minseo~
It was hard to concentrate while seeing Taehyung like this. I was glad when the shoot was finally over because that meant that I get to go home.
I was making my way out of the bathroom when I was stopped by Jimin who blocked my path while smiling.
"Uh," I began.
"Is it okay if we talk for a bit?"
"Yes." No.
Jimin lead me away towards the furthest room. He opened the door and I stepped into the room, freezing when I saw Taehyung there with the rest of the members. Judging by that one look on Taehyung's face, he didn't know I was going to be here too.
I turned to leave but Jimin stepped in front of me, smiling still. Ugh.
Turning back to face the members, I forced a smile. "Did you guys wanted to discuss the shoot or...?"
Taehyung glanced at the members, clearly annoyed.
I let out a breath when I saw that they were avoiding Taehyung's gaze and looking nervous. Judging by their looks, I can kind of guess what they wanted to talk about.
"I've got to pack things up," I said aloud, "Kijoon can't do it alone."
Just as I was about to go around Jimin who was blocking the door, Taehyung's voice stopped me on the spot.
"Where's your ring?" Taehyung asked, bluntly. "Are you still going around and pretending you don't have a fiance?"
He might as well punch me.
"Taehyung," Namjoon snapped, surprising me.
I glanced over my shoulder and that's when I saw the shock on the members' faces at what Taehyung said. He didn't look like it bothered him because he just scoffed and then passed by me, bumping my shoulder on the way out.
I took a step back to steady myself, still in shock at what he'd said. Did he really say that in front of his members? No, did he tell them about what happened during his break? Do they think badly of me too?
"Minseo."
I glanced up and saw Seokjin extending his hand out for me to take, which I did and almost sobbed, by the way. "I'm Seokjin."
"It's an honour to work with you," I replied as normal as I can.
"Sorry for the trouble our little Taehyung caused you," Seokjin said, apologetically. "Please don't mind him and forgive him for being a little...hmm, what's the word," he trailed off, thinking hard. "Ah, for coming off strong and a little disrespectful. Please forgive him."
I almost did. Although I love them all, Seokjin has a special place in my heart. I almost went after Taehyung and apologise for all my wrongdoings and forgive him for thing harsh things he'd said today.
"I didn't raise him to be like that," Seokjin explained. "Taehyung is usually really sweet and adorable; so sweet and adorable, you'd want to squeeze his cheeks and tickle him."
"Uh..." I blinked slowly.
Seokjin dropped his hand and I did the same. He smiled. He has a great smile that just makes me melt right there and then. This is my bias smiling at me, y'all.
"Are you able to stay and talk to us for a bit?" he asked.
I blinked and then shook my head. "I really need to help Kijoon pack."
"Let's exchange numbers," Namjoon suggested and then when he saw how shocked I looked, he smiled and continued on, "I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot of each other."
I let out a nervous laugh, shaking my head. "No. I'm only covering for a co-worker. We won't cross paths anymore."
Jungkook tilted his head to the side, "Why are you so sure?"
"I did promise Taehyung that I will stay away from him," I explained with a smile. "I want to keep that promise."
I glanced over my shoulders where he'd gone and then back to the members, "We won't cross paths again. I, uh, want to let you guys know that I love your music so much. I'll always be rooting for you all."
Seokjin's eyes locked with mine and I grinned, "Especially you!"
"Huh?"
"I'm a huge fan of the group," I explained to him, "But especially you."
Seokjin blinked twice and then smiled, "Thank you."
Smiling at them, I waved and said my goodbyes before parting with them. I need to get away from Taehyung and his members. It was getting hard to breathe again now that I've seen Taehyung. Why? Because I'm in the process of falling in love again but this time, it's not with Taehyung.
