Chapter 11

~Minseo~

Taehyung and I have been spending so much time with each other since the day he'd saved me from Jayla. We spent time at my place, eating and watching movies some nights and it was honestly fun to be around Taehyung. We became really close too. When Taehyung isn't working, he'll ask me to show him around the town which was hard because I never really explored this town myself too.

Sometimes, we'd exchange stories about our childhood although Taehyung stopped talking when we talked about his high school days. When he pulls away, I let him too, knowing that if he wants me to know something, he'll let me know.

"You don't have a girlfriend, do you?" I asked Taehyung, eyes narrowing when Taehyung had left me alone to talk on the phone. He's been doing this a lot.

Taehyung scoffed, "No."

"Are you sure?"

His eyes narrowed, "Do you think I'm the type who will cheat?"

I held both hands up in defence, "Your words, not mine."

Taehyung studied me for a brief moment, his eyes never leaving mine. His gaze stayed on me for too long it was starting to make me uncomfortable.

"Minseo-ah."

"Uh, yes?"

"Will you ever cheat?"

"What makes you ask that?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Because you indirectly asked me if I was a cheater."

"I don't cheat," I replied, solemnly.

Taehyung said nothing and turned his attention to the view once more.

We were sitting on a blanket on top of a hill, feeling the breeze against our faces. Taehyung wanted to go somewhere private and honestly, I felt the same too. I don't like the thought of bumping into people I don't want to see so we ended up here. This is also a place I go to when I'm feeling down or when I needed to clear my head. It was my special place.

"What do you do?" Taehyung asked me, breaking the silence.

"I'm a photographer," I told him. "I move around because of my work and I hardly have time to myself but I like it." I gave him a sideways glance before turning back to the view, "I meet new people and work with new people too. What about you?"

Taehyung was quiet for a bit before saying, "I do a lot of things. You can say I'm kinda like an activist."

"An activist?"

"Mmhmm."

I turned around to face him and grinned, "Made any big changes yet?"

Taehyung smiled but his eyes stayed in the view, "You can say that."

I saw that he looked good from this side too. I wouldn't expect less from Taehyung though. I couldn't tear my eyes off him and it wasn't until he asked, "How long are you here for?"

I uncrossed my legs and stretched them out, saying, "I'll be leaving in two weeks."

Taehyung didn't say anything to that.

"What about you?" I asked him, curious on when he'll be leaving the town.

"I came here for three months," he told me. "I plan to leave in a month's time."

"Ah," I nodded, turning my eyes to the view once more. We sat like this in silence for a while before I stood up, took a few steps forward and stretched. When I felt a cool breeze pass by, I shivered a little and rubbed my hands against each other to produce heat.

"Cold?"

I smiled without looking at him, "A little."

So we'll be parting sooner than I thought.

Taehyung made no comment. When I turned to sit down, I was surprised that Taehyung was suddenly on his knees—probably offering me his coat since it was in one hand. Either way, I ended up slipping and falling down since I'd turned around too fast and fell on top of Taehyung.

~Taehyung~

Taehyung had taken off his coat, moving towards Minseo to offer it to her but then she'd taken him by surprise by turning around and taking a step towards him. Taehyung let go of his coat so that he could catch Minseo as she fell onto him. His back hit the ground with Minseo landing on top of him, his hands on her waist, holding her against him.

"I'm sorry!" she cried, placing her hands on his chest and tried to push herself off him. He liked her on him so he didn't let go of her waist nor did he let her get off him.

Taehyung's eyes locked with hers and he saw her eyes widening when she realised it but he didn't let go of her or have any plans on letting go of her.

"Did I break something?" she whispered.

He could see the fear in her eyes and Taehyung almost laughed at that but he didn't. Unable to stop himself, Taehyung place a hand on the back of her head and guided her lips to his before kissing her deeply. He heard her yelped in surprise but then she started responding to his kiss.

The minute Minseo had shoved her favourite biscuits to him that day he met her; he was drawn to her ever since. He didn't know that he'll see her again after that but he was so glad that he did because he was able to experience many things with her. Minseo was an introvert but she didn't seem that way too. He likes watching her laugh and especially that smart mouth of hers. Eventually, he just couldn't ignore the desire he was feeling when she's near him. That's why he kissed her. If they were going to have to part, he wanted her to know that he liked her and is grateful she gave him happy memories.

Things were suddenly moving fast with the kiss getting hotter and hotter as Taehyung sat up and shifted Minseo so that she was straddling on his lap. He almost lost it when she ran her tiny hands up his chest and looped them around his neck, kissing him deeply. He felt her shiver when he trailed his hands down her side and resting on her waist as he pulled her even closer towards him. The closer she was, the better it felt for him.

Taehyung pulled away from the kiss, breathing heavily and saw how red Minseo's cheeks were and how swollen her lips were from his kisses. She had that soft gentle look on her face that drove Taehyung crazy. That wasn't the only thing driving him crazy though. It was the fact that she'd look at him like he mattered. Like she'd give up anything to be with him.

Taehyung reached out and cupped her face, lowering his lashes as he trailed the pad of his thumb across her lower lip before looking at her. He felt it there and then. Guilt. He shouldn't have touched her like that.

Shifting Minseo off him, he grabbed hold of his coat before muttering, "I just remembered that I'm supposed to cover someone's shift today. I'm going to head back first."

It killed him to walk away from her but he needed to put distance between them. Kissing her like that could have made things worse for them. He didn't need a photo of him all over the media and he's pretty sure he wouldn't want to see Minseo's face plastered all over the media too. This was for the best. Besides... Minseo was keeping secrets too.
