The lonely creature perched himself behind a huge rock, hidden, as the soft orange rays of the sun kissed the ocean. He was fond of watching the humans dwell on land. Questions flooded his mind, head tilted in curiosity, he wondered why they look so different from him.

Humans loved visiting the ocean but only up on the surface. They are not aware of the whole world underneath the waves. A world he is most familiar with.

He loved the sea. He loved discovering new things, swimming to far away places, however, he disliked being alone. He would watch the humans everyday in his secret hiding place, watch them smile and laugh with each other, talk in a language he was not acquainted with and run in those peculiar things he later learned as feet.

The sea has always been his home. Under the waves and beyond the great rifts, was the place where his heart is, yet there was sadness in its depth; a longing the great waters cannot fill.
