MISSED

"tae sweetie?" jin says.

jin hears little footsteps running towards him.
he smiles thinking of his beloved boyfriend.
he would do anything for the brunette to smile.
sudden thoughts of his news saddens him.

"hyung!" tae squeals and jumps into jin's arms.

oh boy, it's going to be harder.

"hello love." jin smiles and pecks tae's lips.

tae giggles. "hi hyung."

"i have to tell you something darling." jin becomes serious.

tae stares into jin's eyes trying to read him.
he sees sadness and fear, tae let's go of jin and plops onto the couch.
jin joins him and grabs his hands.

"tae...i'm moving away to study. i got a scholarship to one of australia's best college's." jin explains.

tears build up in tae's eyes.
he shakes his head vigorously.
as a few tears escape his eyes, tae moves closer to jin.

"b-but h-hyung. you'll be s-so far a-away." tae whimpers.

jin sighs sadly. "that's why, its b-better if w-we b-break up."

tae stares at Jin in shock.
tears falling from his eyes like a waterfall.
jin's heart breaks at the sight of his sweetheart crying.

Jin lift his hand and wipes tae's tears away.
tae stays frozen.
jin's words replaying in his mind.

"break up"

tae looks down and pulls his hands away from jin.
jin looks at tae with a few tears in his cheeks.
the horrible sounds of thunder and rain hitting the hard ground only made it worst.

"i'm s-sorry Tae. b-but always k-know that i l-love you." jin stands up and kisses tae's forehead for the last time.

jin walks towards the front door.
he turns around to have a last look at tae.
he smiles fondly when he sees tae looking back at him with a slight smile on his face.

"g-good luck hyung." tae whispers.

"thank you sweetie." jin sighs and walks into the night.

once the door shut close, tae curls up into a ball, hurrying his face into his knees, and cries.
he cries the hardest he's ever cried.
tears dripping from his eyes to his cheeks, his small frame shaking and shivering from the cold, his mind clouded with negative thoughts and him needing warmth for jin.

tae grabs his phone with his shaky hands.
he has a group with jimin and jeongguk and so he calls the group.
with heavy sobbing, tae waits for the call to be picked up.

"hello?"

"hey."

tae was trying so hard not to let his heavy sobs out.
unfortunately, it wasn't enough and a loud heartbreaking sob was heard by both jimin and jeongguk.

"taetae hyung?"

"tae? what's wrong honey?"

"c-can y-you c-come over p-please?"

tae whimpers as a loud thumper boomed.
tae curls up even more on the couch in the dark.
rain hitting the ground and roof harshly.
tae hates heavy rain, it scares him.
jin was usually with him when it rained.

"oh gosh tae. it's raining. ggukie, we have to go."

"i'm already on the way. i'll pick you up jiminie."

"t-thank y-you so m-much."

"don't mention it honey. just sit tight, we'll be there soon."

"it's fine hyung. where's jin hyung?"

as soon as he heard the word 'jin', his sobs increase.
crying louder than ever, he drops his phone.
more negative thoughts cloud his mind as the thunder and heavy rain become heavier.

"tae? oh God. ggukie where are you?"

"i'm here. Come out quick!"

jimin puts the phone down and races to jeongguk's car.
once they get into the car, jeongguk steps on the gas pedal and they shoot off to tae's house.

reaching so fast, the boys barge into the house.
their hearts clench when they see tae's state.
he wraps curled up in a ball, hugging himself whilst shivering.

jimin runs to tae and engulfs him into a warm hug.
tae clings on and sobs into jimin's chest.
jeongguk walks over and rubs tae's back slowly.

"what's wrong honey?" jimin whispers.

"j-jin hyung l-left me. he g-got a s-scholarship to a c-college in australia. h-he b-broke up w-with me." tae whimpers.

jeongguk and jimin exchange shocked glances.
jin loves tae with all his heart, he would never leave tae.
he would never make tae cry, in fact, he'd cry if tae cried.

tae's cries come to an end as he falls asleep in jimin's warm arms.
jimin carefully lifts tae up and walks up the stairs to place him onto his bed.
wrapping tae in the blankets, jimin walks out of the room and back to the living room.

"poor tae." Jimin sighs as he sits down on the couch.

"i wonder if jin hyung will ever come back." jeongguk sighs.

"i am proud that he got a scholarship but leaving tae? his beloved boyfriend." jimin asks.

"exactly. should we stay here for a while?" jeongguk says.

"i think it's for the best." jimin smiles.

tae wakes up in his bed wrapped in his blankets.
memories from yesterday flood into his mind.
tears brim in his eyes but he blinks them away.

slowly standing up, he makes his way downstairs to find his best friend cuddling with each other.
Tae smiles lightly at the cute scene.
he walks to the kitchen and immediately memories of him and jin come to him.

jin drags his boyfriend into the kitchen to cook.

"come on tae. beat the eggs if you want pancakes." jin smiles.

tae eyes gleamed with happiness from the word pancakes.
Immediately, he grabs 2 eggs and cracks them into a bowl.
grabbing a whisk, tae begins to beat the eggs.

jin laughs and opens a packet of flour and adding it into another bowl.
adding some sugar and salt, Jin then grabs baking powder.
once jin finished mixing the dry ingredients together, he turns around to see how tae was doing.

tae had already added milk and the melted butter into the eggs.
Jin places his bowl of dry ingredients beside tae's.
jin goes ahead and wraps his arms around his boyfriends slim waist.

"go on, pour it in." jin gestures.

"okay!" tae squeals.

excitedly, tae dumps the wet ingredients into the bowl.
he mixes the ingredients together to make a lovely mix.
smooth, tasty and mouth watering.

once the boys were done making some pancakes for themselves, they move to the dining table for their breakfast.
the buttery taste of pancakes hits tae's taste buds beautiful.
he moans at the amazing taste.

jin watches his boyfriend with so much love and awe.
tae opens his eyes and sits on jin's lap.
Giving jin a beautiful smile, he leans in and smashes their lips together.

a stray tear leaks from tae's eye.
tae grabs 2 bowls and the ingredients to make pancakes.
reliving the memory, tae follows the instructions that the older had told him before.
jin voice playing in tae's mind.
he made enough pancakes for the 3 of them.

the amazing smell of pancakes fills jimin's and jeongguk's noses.
they wake up to see tae laying the table.
walking over, tae gives them a small smile.
the boys could see sadness and sorrow in tae's beautiful chocolate brown orbs.

taking a seat at the table.
they try tae's pancakes.
their eyes shoot open at the delicious taste.

"tae. this is amazing." jimin smiles and jeongguk nods in agreement.

"thank you. it was jin's recipe." tae whispers as he slowly stuffs a piece of pancake in his mouth.

jimin looks at tae with pity. "i'm so sorry tae."

"it's quite all right." tae whispers as a tear escapes his eye.

"oh taetae hyung." jeongguk says and wraps his arms around tae.

tae smiles. "thank you so much for coming over. i really don't deserve this."

"no, honey. we're just looking out for you." jimin smiles.

"now, enough crying." jeongguk pokes tae's cheek.

tae giggles.

"me and jimin are dating!" jeongguk announces.

tae claps his hands. "i knew it!"

"what?' jimin asks.

"you guys are perfect for each other. i'm so happy you guys are finally together." tae squeals.

the rest of the day was spent with laughter and happiness.
tae was happy but still sad.
it was going well.

it has been 2 years since jin left tae.
tae got accepted in a world renowned photography company.
his love for photography has taken him higher than he could ever imagine.

tae's heart had been broken by his one and only and so he has never dated.
for 2 years, he had stayed by jimin and jeongguk's side.
supporting them in every way.
the has met some very talented people on the way to the top.

Yoongi, a gifted composer and rapper.
namjoon, also very good at rapping.
hoseok, an amazing dancer.

tae has treasured all these people in his life.
new people.
although his heart has a massive hole, he still looks forward to the bright side.
he lives alone in the same cozy house.
jimin and jeongguk moved in together nearer to tae.

just when tae thought everything was going fine, a huge surprise catches him.

tae walks into the cafe beside his office.
greeting all the baristas by name and a gorgeous smile, he orders his usual.

"thank you clare!" tae cheers as he takes a sip of his latte.

clare smiles and shakes her head at the behaviour of the young grey head.
that's right, tae dyed his hair a beautiful grey.
now, he looks better than ever.

as he turns around, he bumps into something.
well, someone.

"oops. i'm so sorry mis-" tae stops when he looks up at the tall male.

"j-jin hyung." tae stutters.

jin smiles sadly.
he looks amazing.
silky ebony locks sit on the top of his head beautifully.
broad shoulder and he's grown taller.

"h-hey tae."

"i um i have to go." tae says and steps to the side to go.

jin takes a hold of tae's wrist. "we need to talk tae, please."

tae sighs. "alright, come over at 5. the door will be unlocked."

jin nods and lets go.
tae walks out and goes to his office.
sitting at his table, tears drip form his eyes.
seeing the love of his life after 2 years.
the feeling is too overwhelming.

"what did you want to talk about hyung?" tae asks as he sets a tray of tea on the coffee table.

the house has changed quite drastically.
his walls were now a light peach.
the floor was lined with shiny wood.
beautiful photographed pictures - that was taken by tae - filled the walls.
a picture of jin and tae was on the coffee table.

jin picks it up and examine it.
he then looks at the and point to the picture. "us."

tae nods and takes a sip of his tea.

"what about us?" tae asks.

"t-tae i'm truly so-"

"you could say that you're sorry but are you? hyung you left me, you just left me. do you know how my heart broke hyung? the love of my life left me. There's a permanent hole in my heart hyung. i have not dated since the day you left. i have been blinding myself with my passion for photography. and now you show up, and the walls i've built are breaking down and crumbling because i've never stopped loving you. i always ask myself how you're doing and if you'd ever come back. i missed you so much hyung." tae sobs.

jin's face was filled with tears hearing what tae had just said.

"and i s-still love y-you hyung." tae whispers.

"i do too tae. i've not stopped loving you either. i'm truly sorry for leaving tae. i didn't want to leave but it was an amazing scholarship. i would've taken you with me but you'd have to leave and i know you wouldn't leave jimin and jeongguk. i'm so sorry tae." jin looks down.

he looks up when he feels a dip in the couch beside him.
jin locks eyes with his love.
a smile on his face.

"would you like to give us another try hyung?" tae asks.

"i'd love to sweetheart." jin smiles and hugs tae.

jin places a kiss on tae's forehead as the younger snuggles into jin's chest.
