I said I might, so here's the prolouge of both A Rose's Shadow and Friendship : )

A Rose's Shadow

     Everyone was talking. It was actually quite annoying.
     "Everyone, calm down." I tried. They didn't. My father, Zoro Claitony, was looking a bit... red, as you might say.
     "Everyone shut up!" He yells, bringing his fist down on the table. Everyone turns to stare at him. He looks at me and says,  
    "Ciera is trying to speak." They all turn to stare at me. I feel the beads of sweat and my palms feel all clamy. I don't like it.
     "Uh... h-hi everyone. S-so, as we all know, t-the opposing kingdom's are at our borders, coming ever closer. We need to get rid of them." I say unsurely.
    "And I have a plan."

     We went over the plan at least eight times, and I believe everyone knows it by now... at least, I hope everyone knows it by now.
     "Everybody knows the plan?" I asked them, they all nodded. I smile and stand up to leave. After I walk out of the door, I hear footsteps behind me. I turn to see a boy, not much older than me.
     "Thats was really cool, what you did back there." He says.
     "Uh... thanks?" This was getting a little awkward... Just then, my dad showed up. Great... I thought to myself, as if this day couldn't get any worse. He looks at me, then at the boy. Turning back to me, he says,
     "We better be heading back, come Ciera." He walks off. I look back at the boy.
     "My name's Shawn by the way." He smiles.
     "I really have to go, bye Shawn." I say, waving as a follow my father. If there's one thing I learned from today, its that life... just got a whole lot harder.

Friendship

     "Just stop it! I'm sick and tired of you complaining all the time!" I yelled. I was in the school, it looked like lunch. Mari was sitting across from me, complaining, again, about how much Vennessa had hurt her feelings.
     "Well I'm sick and tired of you not listening to me! Your supposed to be my friend Paige!" She yelled back.
     "Friends don't leave other friends alone for any reason!" I retort, standing up. She gets that look. The 'I'm sorry but I can't bring myself to say it cause I know I'm right' look. That look always makes me mad.
     "Paige-" She starts, but I cut her off.
     "Don't Paige me Mari, I dont want to hear it," I say, turning around and walking away. I know everyone was watching me, I felt their eyes pierce my back, but at that moment, I just wanted to get away from Mari, and everyone else for that matter.

     I find myself in the library, the one place I feel safe, the one place I can be myself. I sit in the darkest corner I can find and put on my headphones, hoping music will help me feel a little better. It doesn't.
     "You okay Paige?" Coryn asks, appearing beside me. Cory is my best guy friend. He's funny, but smart, although he doesn't want people to know about it. Just because he doesn't do all of his work to the best of his abilities doesn't mean he's stupid or dumb or an idiot.
     "Y-yeah, I'm fine," I say with a sniffle. I really didn't need him to see me crying.
     "What's wrong?"
     "Nothing, just leave me alone," I whisper, knowing he'll notice my lying.
     "You and Mari fought again, right?" He asks. How is he so good at this? Literally everything you could ever imagine he can guess. I nod solemly.
     "It'll be okay, you two fall out all the time, its part of being friends. It makes you closer, and you two are as close as sisters," He says, smiling optimistically.
     "Sisters don't abandon each other," I whisper again as I feel a tear roll down my cheek.

     "Sisters are forever, but friendship isn't."
