they told me not to fall in love

with boys, who'll toss me around

what was love in the first place?

how would i know this is love?

following their crushes

teachers ridiculing

everyone mocking em

i don't want to fall in love.

the hands of a teacher choking me

telling me to keep on practicing

yet the piano was not safe for my body

the piano did not love me like i loved it

were they blind to my discomfort?

boys cannot love, they burn.

 pimples and facial hair aren't loved

so does thin curly hair

i can only have my appearance

love doesn't get that.

whether to love another swan,

love is a coward, hiding truths.

they told me not to fall in love. so i was cautious, still am.  love was never the problem..the people were. the world consists of fools who play with hearts in the name of love. they tell me they will choose someone for me, but i can't ever love them. co-existence in the name of love, perhaps. 

how can you be in love if you are a coward?

people give us dares that  they are incapable of handling. 

love makes us fools because you can go that far, all in the name of love.

there is no fear. there is only strength.

love is the goddess within you. so the pain, is not a surprise. there is pain in creation, after all.
