River Thomas is a sixteen-year old, carefree girl. She spends her time visiting the beach next to her home and going to late-night parties, but that all changes when her house burns down with her family inside. After she goes to live with her aunt in Kentucky, River wants to forget everything about her life before, but she can't. Not when she thinks she might have the power to control fire.
