We can imagine all day long how Freddie Mercury would be, and how we'd like to behave- or misbehave- in his presence. But let's face it. In reality, you don't know how you'd act, or the things you'd say, until it really happens to you. It happened to me.I have met him. It was a couple of years ago, the very thing which spurred me to begin the story I have spent writing for almost just as long.You may not believe it, I don't expect you to, but it did. I can't tell you how, or what I had to go through in order for this to happen. I will simply tell you of the brief moment I spent near him, and describe in as close and accurate a detail as I possibly can. The memory of this encounter still gives me the shakes, I will do my best, but I can keep silent no longer. I must speak...Why the heck did I write this? XD…

Consider this a Closing Time prequel. This came about because of what I just learned this morning about the night of September 25, 1982, and its premiere broadcast of Saturday Night Live's eighth season. It is told from the perspective of one of the cast members, as this was her very first appearance on the show, in fact. It is as fictitious an account as the rest of the "Year of the Cat" series, but I just found this to be a terribly interesting coincidence.Funny how nicely things fall into place sometimes...…
