'He had been an inferno these past six months, burning so hot and for so long he feared there was nothing left but ashes.'This is a story of violence and destruction, of friendship and healing.-There is drug use, themes of self-harm and some consent issues (NOTHING graphic). But please don't read if these issues may upset you.NOTE: This story is populated with characters from "The Raven Cycle" series by Maggie Stiefvater. You do NOT need to have read those books in order to read/enjoy my story. (However, you should read TRC anyway because it's an AMAZING series.) I do NOT own these characters or the setting. I'm merely borrowing them for a short while to tell this angsty little tale.…

[#405 in Mystery] There has been a sudden rash of suicides amongst the teenagers of Mahnomen, Minnesota, and while it's certainly tragic, there's been nothing to indicate foul play. Except for one thing.None of the teenager's cell phones have been recovered, and sixteen-year-old Nanette Townsend becomes desperate to prove there is more to the deaths of her classmates than meets the eye. As she draws closer to the truth, however, she struggles to recognize friend from foe and resist the darkness that lies dormant in all of us.-This is a FIRST DRAFT. This story was written in a month for the #JustWriteIt #SerialMystery challenge, and due to the time constraints (and my insane work schedule) I wasn't able to put as much thought and time into developing this story as I would have liked. But that's the beauty of contests! There are themes of suicide in this story. There is nothing graphic, but please let me know if you think this story warrants a "mature" rating and I will change it.…
