Barth had a thing for self-deprecation. Not that he'd tell anyone- let alone himself, that sometimes when he'd let himself surface above the ringing in his head, it wasn't always so grim. He'd even find things... positive at times. But the ringing never stopped. And he always- always, dunked his head back in. Sometimes, he'd admit, that perhaps the whole thing was by choice. The self-deprecation, the ringing in his head, the way he lived... Lisa was a pretty girl. Her fiance didn't say much, but at one point he'd let it out, that she was pretty. Pretty- so pretty, but never more... An abduction... Kidnapped by a man called Barth, Lisa needs her head, heart, and all her pretty senses in the right place, to set herself free. But freedom is a strange word for a girl who's never really been free, and in the strangest of places, she gets a taste of it. And that is the strangest thing, right, because since when have captives been free?…
