Touko White has had a relatively normal life in Nuvema Town, with her two best friends, Bianca and Cheren. The only tragedy throughout her life was the apparent death of her father, leaving her mom to care for her. But when she finally gets to go on her Pokémon journey, she discovers just why he disappeared. Her father was a spy working for the international police, given special abilities in a serum that only responded to a certain, very rare gene. A rare gene that he happened to pass down to Touko. Just as she's about to head out to go on her Pokémon journey, she's offered a spot as a spy, just like her father was, with those same abilities too, which brings her into the world outside of Nuvema Town, with evil organizations, friendship, betrayal, and love.
