Aurelia Martha Cosby would say that her life at 20 years old has been a paradoxical combination of frightening adventure and hair-pulling dullishness. It wasn't something you could logically explain. That could get quite infuriating at times. The United Kingdom by the turn of the 19th century had become a global power and was the most advanced piece of mud and dirt on our evergrowing planet. Unless you were black. Or Chinese. Or gay. Or anything other than Protestant. Or, as Aurelia could vehemently attest to, a woman. But we had gas lamps in our homes and funky steam trains, so it balances out, right? So, as a direct middle finger to the establishment, sometimes Aurelia simply wasn't a woman. No, that's not right. Aurelia was a woman, but sometimes she didn't dress as one, or act like one. She found that her gender merely changed with people's perceptions of her and not how she actually viewed herself. This quirk, as her mother would call it, was what caused the frightening adventure portion of her existence. The boredom came from all the moments in between. However, the dull moments were becoming rarer by 1807. Napoleon was still throwing his weight around and the British Empire no longer had their greatest export- Lord Admiral Nelson. Abolitionism was taking a hold in Europe's western terrorities. King George III had gone insane. And Lord Frederick Benjamin Campbell-Lexington had returned from the front lines having been granted (more like forced) leave after sustaining injuries in the line of duty for His Majesty's glory.Although all these new and exciting notions feature in our story, we shall focus on the ultimate one as it really is the backbone of this tale. And is currently the crux of Aurelia's vexation on the day of our Lord and Saviour 26th April 1807. Her husband had shouted at her, condescendingly. A mistake to be sure. *BETA VERSION* Just testing the waters…

Most etymologists will say that the name "Easter" is derived from a) the goddess Eostre, and/or b) from the German 'dawn', or 'east', coming from the root 'aus'. All of the above goddesses were connected with love and fertility. If she is to fix what she did not cause, she cannot do it alone. Eostre will have to enlist the help of a band of very strange characters. The enemy may not be on the outside and no matter how hard they try Eostre, Sebastian, Sol, Daisy and any one else they stumble upon will not be able to stop the tide headed straight for them. It is not a collision of worlds nor a discovery of a new one but rather the awakening of a very old, very angry existence. Cover by Smile_life007 Romance. Mystery. Humour. Fantasy.…
