Laya, an twenty- one year old girl, moves out into the middle of nowhere, when she gets an unexpected envelope in the mail that tells her that she has inherited a huge portion of land from her dead great grandfather, who lives in Alaska. So Laya and her cat Smoke move out to the middle of Alaska. Once at the new victorian style home, Laya finds that she now lives in the middle nowhere, surrounded on all sides by menacing pine and for trees. Then Laya finds her grandfather's journal inside of a hollowed out book. Inside the journal her grandfather's secret is revealed to her. It seems that the big scary woods of Alaska hold more than just bears and mountain lions. As Laya continues reading the journal she starts hearing flute music. But with neighbors hundreds of miles away who could it be? Is Laya imagining things or is there actually someone or something out there playing music?
