Once upon a time, a man went by the name of Mattheas, the Fellsword. He was one of the most revered names in the Lands Between. Aside from serving directly under Queen Marika, Godfrey, and Radagon. He was a formidable opponent on the battlefield and was sent to fight battles with Godfrey against those who opposed the Greater Will. Decades after constant fighting, Mattheas' life as a warrior was suddenly changed when he was given a lifelong duty to protect and serve little Godwyn. Eventually, Mattheas was known in the Lands Between as the Caretaker of the Demigods, a person who served as the father figure of the demigods. They loved him, and he loved them back.Unfortunately, all good things are not meant to last. During the infamous event known as the Night of the Black Knives, Mattheas was killed by the infamous assassins who later killed Godwyn.Decades have passed, and Mattheas wakes up to a fractured and broken home.
