Dallon Weekes has been written into ancient lore a dozen times over. Not a soul can forget his name, his strength, his prestige and honor. The known world turns to him to defend them against monsters galore. The townspeople that elected him to rule their city look to him for guidance. With Brendon by his side since childhood, there is little he can't accomplish. He is, in every sense of the word, a hero. However, the war raging between the most powerful cities in the region has to come to an end soon. When his name is called to end the war, there is no escape. Having sat passively on his throne for years, he's not sure he is still the fabled hero he used to be. He's won fights with horrific beasts before, this war is different, and he can't seem to recognize himself anymore. The war has been raging for decades and has brought death upon thousands - surely he is not the best chance they have to out an end to it. All eyes are on him. All eyes are watching his every move and scrawling everything into their historical records. He's torn between setting off to join the expedition or fleeing to the countryside to live in peace with his love. As fate intervenes, the future becomes blearier and blearier, and Dallon begins to realize that he is nearing the end of his story.…

While he does like to spend time at home with his fiancé Brendon and their cat, he's also very involved in the gruesome events rapidly unfolding in the growing town. You don't find a headless body in a ditch every day, right? However, as more murders are revealed and targeted attacked are executed on members of the precinct, he is forced to choose between doing his job or keeping the love of his life safe and oblivious to the bodies piling up at his feet. Whatever he chooses, one thing rings clear; it's time to pay for his sin.…

Ah yes, the classic ditch and cold shoulder combo - something Dallon is used to, which is definitely not a good thing, in case you were unaware. But thanks to Brendon, he's much more than simply aware of how awful it feels to watch your best friend leave you in the dust with no explanation, how it feels to watch your EX best friend make the optimal position on the famous football team and win 3 national championships in a row, get nothing but A's for 3 years, and do it all with the football teams beloved halfback. It's a good thing his comedic friend is there to keep him company. Dallon Weekes hates flowers. He also coincidentally owns a flower shop, which will look great on his college application letters (which he's sent in to many schools and has received absolutely no feedback whatsoever, from anybody). He's swimming in debt with only a flower shop to provide income, so long story short things aren't going as well as he'd planned. But the guy hellbent on revenge for his cheating ex with poison ivy in his pockets might convince him that it's okay. And Brendon Urie just got cheated on. His (ex) partner is allergic to flowers, which he plans to throw through his bedroom window (since he lives right next to him), and the best flower shop around, according to Google, is Dallon's. He's not sure how he's going to break a window with a plastic case full of flowers and poison ivy, but as soon as Dallon moves in down the street, there's no harm in missing if it means he gets to see him again.…
