Lamentably, Diana Kennedy's story is based on a much more real one. Slowly, he inches his face back in front of mine so that his lips are hovering barely a couple of centimeters over mine. It's taking all of the restraint in me to look him in the eyes and not pull him closer and kiss the life out of him. At an agonizing pace, he brings his face impossibly closer until our lips aren't centimeters, but millimeters apart. I feel his hands on my waist, pulling me to him.
