What do you think being in a coma is like? Can I hear the people around me but not respond? Will I feel their touch as they try their hardest to bring me back from the darkness but not move? If not, where will I go? Will I spend my time surrounded in darkness and silence? Will it all play out like some childhood dream? Would I be teleported to a different time and place? Or would I simply stand in quiet solitude in a field that stretches beyond my eyesight, so vast that I can walk for days and never reach an edge? What will time be like there? These are all questions I’ve wondered but it never occurred to me that I would find out.
