Just as mankind was born in Africa and spread far and wide across the world, so too was humanity begun on earth and flung outwards to the stars. But as millennia passed and memories faded, these terrans separated by great gulfs of time and space lost their shared ancestry, becoming insular, tribal peoples all indigenous to their own Holy Stars. Now, as the Home Empire reaches beyond its immense borders, establishing a foothold in the collapsing, chaotic Cassian worlds, these two races will come into contact again, this time not as brothers but as foes. With the stakes set as total victory or complete annihilation, the desperate struggle to survive may just cost them the last thing they hold in common: their humanity…
Jim is convinced his wife is sleeping with someone else. What begins as simple curiosities descend quickly into uncontrollable mania, dragging down his marriage, his sexuality and his sanity into an ever deeper rabbit hole. Jim cannot know what he will discover, but he is certain it will change everything forever...…
Humanity is choked by the eternal cloud of barbarism, returned to its former primitive state, a victim to the cruelties of the Earth and to its own agonizing savageness. One man will brave brutal anguish and wretched torment to break himself free of the clutches of his primitive self, striving towards the one beacon of civilization still remaining, but what will he find once he arrives?…
Although I though dabble with my poetic side, this collection is less poetry than pure agony. Every break-up, every rejection, every tear-drop, every choked loss of words is in here, with just enough rainbows and sunshine to make the storm clouds seem all that more poignant. It's always a cathartic experience to write these feelings down, and if someone out there in the great, big world finds them interesting to read, that's fine by me.…

When Lynn, a depressed, anti-social Bostonian schoolgirl plagued with a debilitating speech disorder, is forced to make a presentation with a partner in her science class, she falls into a pit of hysteria. Drowning in the stifling haze of corruption and pretentiousness that is the dazzling yet licentious city of Montreal in 1978, one man desperately tries to carve out a place for himself among the villains, tyrants and scum. But as tensions rise not only between the two solitudes, but also within himself, Jean-Claude Parizeau finds himself trapped in a cycle of extortion, lasciviousness and violence. With a deafening crescendo of crime, lust and murder, Jean-Claude must ask himself how far he is willing to go to achieve his brutal goals and come to terms with the more despicable side of his inner nature.…
The world is threatened with a total environmental, social and economic collapse in the coming decades and centuries. The future of our civilization has become uncertain through a series of poor decisions based on ignorance, incompetence and greed. In the next stages of humanity, we will need to question the socioeconomic systems which evolved mankind and also attempted to destroy it. And so there is the theory of chronimism: a philosophy dedicated to ending whatever catastrophes await the human species and to continuing to evolve it into the perfect society. It may not be the most glamorous of ideals, but one day, it might just be earth's only hope.…
Beni is far from the average Gatineau sixteen year-old. When it comes to his enormous and overbearing Italian family, roots in the mob and ancient and modern dictatorships as well as a distinct distaste for his own society, one could nearly label him more than just alone, but disenfranchised in a world filled to the brim with fake interconnectedness. However that all changes when he begins a sultry affair with an older woman he meets at one of his father's Halloween parties. The catch: she has no idea how old he is and that's how he plans to keep it.…
This a collection of some of Jacob Kenney's best tragic plays. Immerse yourself in his dreary worlds and follow every words from the lips of his malevolent, Machiavellian characters. All is well that doesn't end well.…
Although more apt at writing tragedies, sometimes I'll show a more an amusing side in my playwriting. These are works of fun, not passion, and I hope I brighter a few days and shine a few smiles with them. Enjoy.…
One thousand years after the American collapse, the world has fallen into chaos. North America is gripped by a new Dark Age of warring dukes and murderous barbarians. The church controls every word uttered and to defy the Pontiff means death. With this horrid world as a backdrop, aging warlord Joseph Irving tries to make a better life for all, but finds his fair share of enemies in the process.…
This is a collection of the best short stories I've written in the last few years for various writing competitions and school assignments. I take an unapologetic look at human nature through the lens of the empowered and disenfranchised alike.…
In this tour de force of literature, Kenney takes us to Spokane, Washington, but it isn`t a city you`d recognize. The houses are all identical. Food is distributed courtesy of the Agriculture Council. Religion has been declared illegal, and the United States is governed by a dictatorial Socialist Regime, headed by a godlike figure, Czerno, with whom disobedience breeds death. Welcome to the world of Erik Christian, the Assistant District Attorney for Spokane. Patriotic and well educated, Erik is a perfect example of an upstanding Socialist citizen. But he is also a veteran of America`s massive and bloody Second Civil War, and Erik is plagued by ghosts of his past. When two police officers are murdered, the DA asks Erik to take the case. Soon Erik is engulfed in conspiracies, hidden agendas, and secrets that some would kill to keep covered. With one simple stroke, Erik`s world comes crashing down on him leaving him to wonder; in a world of lies, is anything real? Witch Hunt is a stunning magnum opus crafted by the quick witted, and sharp tongued, Jacob Kenney. It`s an exploration into the idea of justice, and even though told through the perspective of another world, it shows some eerie similarities with our own. Kenney fills every space from the title to the end with awe striking descriptions, mind numbing terror and haunting narratives that leave the reader breathless. Every word from the moment you turn the first page to the second you finish the last isn`t simply bound to engross you, it will change you!…

This is a sonnet, but it isn't Shakespeare. It's a creepy melody of horror and insanity written for Halloween, but its great to read any time of the year.…
