Magnus Chase has seriously pissed off Loki. He made a new friend named Gaea. Not the Greek-primordial-goddess-of-the-Earth Gaea, but a nice Gaea. Magnus, Samirah, Hearth, and Blitz get in "huge trouble" with the mischievous god, and so he took them captive. Gaea got a dream vision from Magnus, calling desperately for her help.
