Broken People
In the year 4116, life is much different from now. People no longer operate the city; instead robots tend to almost all of the labor, including, but not limited to, cooking, cleaning, manufacturing, tending animals, growing crops, et cetera. And, since robots occupy these harder jobs, all humans are needed for are repairing. So, in this new era, people no longer need knowledge or creativity, but stamina, strength and endurance. And this was the beginning of the rating system, the one that labeled everyone either a Perfect, Damaged, or Broken.Rosaline, or Rose or Ross, as she prefers, is a Broken. Brokens have basically no meaning in life, thus why they often commit suicide. But, unlike others, Ross is still alive, and has lived through two helpers and is getting a third. All Ross wants in life is a job, to do something helpful, but the world seems to be looking the other way. After all, she is broken, isn't she?…
