[[under heavy rewrite//postponed]]According to Father, the Broken City used to be full of all kinds of people, but that was back when there was no such thing as being Pure because, well, everyone was. Father told stories of days when the Cities were full of thousands- millions of people, all equal and strong, and there were no border walls built around the areas deemed to be meant for the clear-skinned only. The cities were like a single, unified landscape of silver tipped skyscrapers, in which everyone was happy, and clean, and very well fed. Darkness falls over the land, chasing the Light Hawks away, and lending Shadow Nights a territory stretching far out from their forest home. It is bliss, it is cold, it is home. Never shall a Light meet a Dark, that is the way it should be. That is not the way it is. The Light Hawks are planning something deadly, and the only one who can hope to stop it is a Shadow Knight with a horrible secret. Can she bear to betray her family, if it meant saving their lives?…
