Tsuki Ito's life at Boston College has been the convention- deal with messy roommates and mountains of work. Her journey ahead has been stretched taut to the point where everyday was the product of multiple repetitions. Tsuki's life changes for the better when she decides to undertake a research position in the big island of Oahu. However, Tsuki's transforms drastically when tragedy strikes and she is a lone survivor of a plane crash. She is forced to confront her fears about her past and come to terms with the people who have disappeared from her life, while trying to spark a fire and create signals. Will Tsuki resolve her inner conflicts and get off the island alive?[first draft]5/4/18: This is an experimental short story I did for my creative writing class. This first draft, I feel, is overly pretentious and I just tried too hard. I swear if your mind isn't fucked by it, you didn't read it right :D. But don't be discouraged; I recommend you read this story nonetheless. Definitely a learning experience for me. And please leave scathing criticism- it will help me when I write the second draft. - Check out my short story collection "the seeing eyes in the darkness" to read the preview of Stranded in a whole other (easier on the mind) format.…
It was a mystery to Infinity Swanson how mountain climbers did it, look at the face of death and chuckle. Her life has been the definition of ordinary, a single mother of a college-bound son, and the chances of her embarking on an adventure was near zero. But one night transforms everything, and she is forced to examine everything she ever knew about herself, or the lack of it. Old friends come knocking expressing sympathy. Everything that was once easy became a pain to do. Then she discovers something embedded beneath her son's seemingly open exterior... something strange, about Antarctica. Was it a coincidence seven people disappeared the day after she found it?Contains mild swearing.Highest ranking: #103 in adventure[Inactive. Not sure if I want to continue this story anymore but I'll see after finishing my main novel project.]…
