Catherine Wolf has been friends with Sam Witwicky for as long as she can remember, and been in love with him for the past two years. Unfortunately, Sam has been in love with Mikeala Banes for even longer. To make matters worse, an alien race of transforming robots made of two factions-- Autobots and Decepticons-- from the planet Cybertron come to Earth searching for a powerful artifact they call the Allspark. By some strange working of fate, Catherine is pulled into a war not of her making, and finds she has a much greater role to play than she realized. I've been a fan of Assassin's Creed for a long time (not quite as long as Transformers), and I've always loved Ezio's games. I actually had this idea for a long time, but my previous Transformers fanfic and school took up all my time. Thanks to a friend, though, I have my inspiration, and expect this story to go places. For those who've read my other story, you're going to recognize the OC, and you've found me out: she's my go-to gall. I love using her in my fandoms, so if you enjoyed watching her grow in her first fic, I guarantee you'll love watching her in this one, too. This time around, though, she's facing something perhaps far more dangerous. Some pretty dark scenes are going to happen or be alluded to, so here's your main warning. This is a short-short story I made a few years ago for a Scholastic Competition and managed to win a Gold Key for it. Needless to say, it makes me rather proud of my creation. It came about by watching, oddly enough, a music video for Devotchka's How It Ends song, and the clips they used were from a movie called Everything is Illuminated. The moment I saw the scene with the young man standing before the fire line and the women with the basket, I was inspired by that moment and decided to write a scene based off it. I am not of Jewish faith, nor do I boast to knowing anything about it. However, I do know millions of innocent people of the faith were cruelly murdered for believing in said faith, and so, in a way, I guess this is dedicated to those people who died as those merciless hands. This piece was not intended to insult, and if it does I apologize with all my heart. I only wished for people to read and feel some slimmer of hope, even if death is inevitable, and perhaps something more, but that is up to you, as the reader, to decide.…
