What's the purpose of a werewolf with no wolf? Bex is an outsider since she has never shifted. However, she is a far cry from the runt of the pack. The Counsel, a group who regulates and polices the supernatural world, is seeking out a new Luna to rule over the werewolves. The law of the land requires Bex to take up the responsibility of Luna on the Student Counsel since she's next in-line for the position. Any objections are swiftly silenced as an ex-best friend and future Alpha materializes from the ghosts of Bex's past, one that she'd rather forget, to enforce the law. As a member of the Student Counsel Bex will be groomed through a trial period, for a job she doesn't want. Bex is running out of options fast to escape the cage designed for her.
