The Protector
In a Greek-based magical kindom called Epsilius (ep-sill-us), Ira Crete, Epsilius' future, Light-Magician (wizard/witch who uses his/her magic for good things) king, is born in 2000. A threat called "The Darkness" by the Epsilians (ep-sill-yens), tries to take over the kingdom when Ira is barely a month old. Ira's parents, King Epsilon and Queen Athena, give Ira to a trustworthy, Epsilian couple to protect him from "The Darkness". Meanwhile, an elite subdivision of the Epsilian Royal Guard (ERG), the "Protectors", choose Ira's designated "Protector" on the word of an old fortune teller, who predicts that the chosen Protector will grow up to have extraordinary skills. The Protector is Selena Sigmano, a dark-haired infant born to both a Light-Magician and a Dark-Magician (witch/wizard who uses dark magic).*** It is now 2018, Ira's adopted parents were killed by the darkness when he was 12, so he's on his own in Epsilius' wilderness, and Ira is completely oblivious to his magical talent (the king and queen asked the couple to keep his powers a secret from him for a reason). Selena's skills in the ERG are legendary and well-known to Epsilians everywhere; they gave her the name "Artemis" because she always carries her bow and arrows. One day, she has a feeling that Ira is in trouble... And the adventure begins.…
