Dren and Darcy Glacier lived in a small snowy mountain village. They lived on their own, taking care of each other. So when a terrible snowstorm hits their mountain village, and Darcy comes down with a terrible cold Dren does call he can. But there's rumors of a ice creature that's stalking the mountain. Those who try to leave the village end up never returning. Many believe it's because of this creature, but Darcy didn't believe that. When a voice starts calling to her at night Darcy tries to tell her brother about it, but he just thinks it's her imagination. Frustrated with her brother, Darcy runs out into the roaring blizzard, forcing Dren to go after her. That's when the two children meet Maru, the Ice Dragon. Right away Darcy knew this was the voice that had been calling to her. Maru explained that he had been trying to worn the two that they had to get out of their home. It was latter that Dren and Darcy hear that their village had been buried underneath a giant wave of snow. With no place for the human children to go Maru takes the children in and star teaching the Ice Dragon Slayer Magic. The two took to their teachings like a duck takes to water, but something changes inside of Dren. He becomes power hungry, and from this hunger goes after his Foster Father to gain his powers. Fearing for his Foster Daughter, Maru sends Darcy away to the town of Magnolia. That's where she meets a man that reminds her of Ice Magic wielder. Dan Quencher takes an interest in the young Dragon Slayer and starts trainer her as well, but it seem tragedy follows Darcy where ever she goes when Dan is killed on one of his jobs. Lost and alone, Darcy makes it her goal to master her magic, find her brother, and make both their Foster Fathers proud. "She truly is a marvel." Billy Baston said out loud as he watch over the newsy member of the Captain Marvel family, Maxine "Max" Ryder. It all started when they met at school, but it almost came to an end when Black Adam came to Earth to take out Billy, also known as Captain Marvel. Maxine knows that Billy is Captain Marvel and knows that he is a member of the Justice League. In Billy's and Black Adam's fight it looked like Black Adam had Captain Marvel beat. Disregarding her own safety Maxine rushes to Billy's aid only to be struck be one of Black Adam's lightning bolts. Severely injured Maxine struggles to stay alive, Billy goes on a rampage to defeat Black Adam (which he does), and Maxine is happy to see her friend is safe, but there's one thing she wants to see and that's to see Billy as himself. With the simple word SHAZAM, Billy went back to his thirteen year old self, holding his friend in his arms as she slowly slipped away with a smile on her face. Billy pleaded with the great wizard Shazam to save Maxine's life. "Speak the sacred word Billy Baston and the power of Captain Marvel will enter her body and save her life."
