{Young Adult Reads} {Trailer Included} {Humor/Chicklet} Highest Chicklet Ranking: #214 "The Crush" The awkward 4 stage position everyone finds themselves in at some point in their teenage life. Stage 1 "Puppy Love" Stage 2 "Denial" Stage 3 "Acceptance" Stage 4 "Desperate" For most people there are four stages. For me, there are five. Stage 5 has way too long a title to write out. Basically, it's the stage where I figure out, my crush doesn't want me back, both my best friends love me, and a whole lot of others start to join the infinity love triangle. Well things start to get a jumbled up and hazy. Let's just say, "It's Complicated". ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- "I would love to be in math right now" she extraordinarily remarks, despite the insanity the comment drips with. "How?!" I grip my hair, threatening to tug each clump of the rats nest out of my skull. The dementia, the irrationality, the derangement of the statement. It's incriminating. It's preposterous. A true abomination, calamity, fiasco, a setback to our great country. "How could you possibly say something so atrocious?! How could you possibly mean something so revolting?!" "Take a chill pill, Adriann. I like math. Get it through your head." she holds her hands up in an innocent fashion. I can almost see a white flag in her palms. "I just...I find it so very vile." I stick my tongue out, proving my distaste with a triumphant fart noise. ~Warning~ Fair amount of inappropriate language, and sexual innuendo Banners by @ahimah…

"Night Lights by PaintMeAPicture" "The City is Only a Ferry Away" --------------- Katherine Bates: It's almost graduation, yet Sabrina Bates and Bella Bricen have experienced nothing every teenager should. Never stolen, never partied, never drank, never done drugs, well I say they blew their final chance at achieving our appreciation. Get a life, Girls. Xoxo, Kat(: I back away from the computer, feeling a strong eye roll coming on. "God your sister is such a bitch," Bella shakes her head. "Step-sister," I correct Bella, harshly. "And soon to be ex-step-sister, if you remember." "Right." she nods. "Anyways, what were you reading?" "Night Lights," I stick out my tongue, laughing a little. "I remember that book! We used to re-read it like once a week when we were kids," she chuckles along, picking up the book from my bed. "And unlike us, those twelfth grade girls had the night of their lives." I shrug, still frustrated by the comment. "That's it!" Bella gets that extremely common eureka look on her face. "What's it?" I squint at her, suspiciously. "They had the night of their lives in the city of their dreams! We're just a fairy away from the City, we can do exactly what they did. We don't have to be losers, graduation isn't here yet, S!" she closes her eyes. "Oh I can't say no to that face." I smile, awkwardly. "So it's settled then, we'll take the ferry to the city tonight!" - #579 Chicklet - January 1, 2017 #908 Chicklet - January 2, 2017 #510 Chicklet - January 3, 2017 #518 Chicklet - January 4, 2017…

The nausea passes, and I take another step towards the house. I am caught off guard by a zooming noise, and my ears start ringing. I look behind me, to investigate the sound. A motorcycle speeds down the dirt path of the forest. Dirt erupts behind him, and his foot presses down on the gas harder as he approaches. He must see me? Right? He must see that I am here. I move out from behind the car, and wave at him. He doesn't notice, and continues, faster and faster, the zooming sound getting louder and louder. I stand stiff, too afraid to move, realizing he is headed right towards me. My brain shouts at my legs to sidestep out of the way, but they refuse. I freeze, as if a spotlight has just appeared on me and I am so nervous I forgot all of the words I am supposed to say. The only thing I can get my brain to say is, "Stop!" but he doesn't. He is practically on me. This is it, if you don't move, you will die. But my body is too afraid, my hands shaking, and my eyes staring. The black and red monster halts, just a few inches away from me. The guy removes his helmet, angrily. "Tess?" he looked as if he was about to shout, but he changes his tone when he recognizes me. "Patrick ?" I respond, my eyes widening as I remember.…
