This world isn't so different from ours. Only some lifeforms are born with a strange 'disease' that makes them look physically different. When animals stared to show signs after humans, the government thought it was contagious, and made it illegal for regular people and the people with this strange disease, who they called 'Abnormals', to live together. Most children, when they started to show signs, were taken away from their parents to either live in labs or be sent to live with people who had the same disease in secluded neighborhoods.Four years ago, after ten years of testing, the government had found out it wasn't a disease, but rather a genetic mutation from people who had survived deadly diseases.
