First came Here, There and Everywhere...Memoirs of an Air Hostess. Now i give you Here, There and Everywhere Else; for stories I had to leave out in the first book. Some are from my flying days, during my 11 and a half years as a Flight Attendant; others come later, proving that there is travel life after a flying career. The first book was published by Ginninderra Press in Adelaide about four years ago. I hope this one will take off too.…

Dark Park

Dark Park

Dark Park is a sequel to Scrubber-Town, but if anything is worse than its next door suburb. There are more cat fights, vandalism, especially by the Spite Club Girls, grafitti and bad behaviour in general, particularly emanating from the Dark Park High School or the Tavern on a Saturday night. Dark Park should always be approached with caution, especially at night as there are one or two people you may not want to run into after dark. You'll meet some familiar characters, plus some fascinating new ones.…

Scrubber-Town

Scrubber-Town

There's a new shopping-centre in the suburbs called Scrubber-Town. It's full of dodgy dealings, bad behaviour and larger-than-life characters. Some of these are: Komik kal, Kara-Lyn and Lainie and Janie, two BFF's who are roving-reporters for the monthly Scrubber-Town Saga magazine. Add to this the crazy mix of an all-girl gang, an unruly child-care centre and The Crockerie, the aged-care home across the road from Scrubber-Town, not forgetting Asteroid Travel, agents for the nation's new budget airline, Asteroid Air. Chaos accompanies all events at Scrubber-Town. It's politically incorrect and satirical, but was great fun to write. It has been suggested to me by several people that it would translate well to T.V. Hop on the specially painted pink-and-purple leopard-print bus and go shopping. While you're there, have a Raving Lunatic Cocktail or the coffee/giant sausage roll/cream-bun special on me. I promise a distracting, truly good-fun read. How could you not want to go and see for yourselves the phenomenon known as Scrubber-Town? Go on I dare you!…

There's Something Very Special About Melbourne

There's Something Very Special About Melbourne

Melbourne, it's Australia's second largest capital city? Where do I begin to tell you all the things I love about Melbourne? It's cosmopolitan, vibrant, elegant, sometimes quirky and artsy. That and so much more too. Over the years, it's set the scene for many an enjoyable holiday or short break. Melbourne is only an hour's flight away from me in Adelaide, or a day or two's travelling for those who want to take it more slowly, with wonderful scenery en-route. Melbourne is now home to my daughter and her partner and I've had the chance to come to know it even better. In these pages I'll aim to show you that there's something very special indeed about Melbourne.…

Here, There and Everywhere is a memoir of travel in the 1970's and 80's, an era long gone, as well as a variety of tales from my eleven and a half years as an Air-Hostess with an Australian domestic Airline, during that period. How time has flown (no pun intended) andhow much our world has changed. I invite you all to sit down with your tea, coffee, 'Bubbly' or whatever takes your fancy and enjoy your ride back through the mists of time. By the way, there's to be no pressing of the call-button during this trip. No-one will answer it anyway. Welcome to your in-flight entertainment.…

There's a Headless Ogre Under My Bed and Other Stories.

There's a Headless Ogre Under My Bed and Other Stories.

Headless Ogre is a short of mock children's story. Written a few years back, it's about a little girl called Erika who has a larger- than- life imagination. This often upsets her sister, parents and her teachers at school. A friend of mine said she loved it, but wasn't sure about the 'headless' bit. Don't worry, it's just a bit of fun and nonsense. The next chapter, still about Erika, because I decided to expand on the theme, has a completely different imaginary character.…
