She was like no girl I'd ever met. A bright young girl with a smile on her lips and a song in her heart. She'd been raised and surrounded by those who tried to "tame" her, to "calm" her, scared of the wildness that was simply her. I knew she was different the day I met her. The spark in her eyes was so close to fading, but I was determined to help her. I took her away from the ones who brought her down. I told her the truth no one else would. I couldn't believe that I was worthy of a chance to see, explore, and question the universe. He told me I was amazing. Every time he says that, I deny it, but my heart rejoices at the fact that this wonderful man actually enjoys my company. He actually likes me. He doesn't realize how much I need him.…
