(OC one-shot cos I can't commit...)The Huntsman is tasked with the seemingly simple mission of retrieving a missing princess. However, his expectations are quickly upended when he locates her. The princess has adapted remarkably well to her new life in the wild and is reluctant to return home, having valid reasons for her refusal. Through their time together, the Huntsman discovers that despite the circumstances, the bond of human company is not as unwelcome as he might have initially thought.…
(An OC one-shot, and a belated birthday present.)Jefferson has been stranded in Wonderland for an indefinite period, steadily losing his sanity. His isolated existence is disrupted when a blonde newcomer stumbles into his workshop. This mysterious girl offers a refreshing change from the usual chaos of Wonderland, giving Jefferson a new perspective on his surroundings and sparking hope that she might help him find a way to return home.…
Emmeline drifted through life like a forgotten receipt in a hurricane. The world around her was a sensory assault: too loud, too chaotic, and, on the days when the chaos took a coffee break, boring. Once, she had been an asset of Hydra, a walking experiment, but that chapter was closed. Now, she was left with the mundane task of reinventing herself. She needed a new purpose, a new North Star. She certainly didn't expect that to point toward Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. And she definitely didn't expect to be in the shadow of a Cold War relic. Her mission was simple: warn a man named Alexei that his daughter might be in danger. That was it. A quick heads up and she could go back to dissociating in peace. But Alexei Shostakov had other ideas. When Emmeline delivered her warning, she expected confusion, maybe denial. Instead, she saw a spark in his eyes. To him, this wasn't a crisis; it was a casting call. He didn't just hear danger; he heard opportunity. He saw a chance to dust off his gear, to slide back into action, even if he wasn't entirely sure what that action entailed yet. He was a hammer looking for a nail, and Emmeline had just walked in with a blueprint. This was the part that broke her brain. Emmeline was a woman perpetually on edge, disjointed and wary of everything and everyone. The world was a jagged puzzle she couldn't solve. But Alexei? He was the anomaly in the data. In a universe that oscillated between deafening noise and soul-crushing boredom, Alexei was a constant, high-definition frequency. He wasn't loud in the annoying way; he was loud in the tectonic plates shifting way. He wasn't boring; he was a walking, talking explosion of personality and confidence with a side of questionable life choices. And as Emmeline stood there, vibrating with the anxiety of a startled cat, she realised the most confusing thing of all: amidst the static of her life, the former super-soldier felt like the only calm thing in the room.…
Sleeping for a fair, few hundred years doesn't sound too bad; being woken up by encroaching humans however, that's when things take a turn. No one likes to be woken up, let alone a sleeping dryad, a nymph, who's forestry homeland is being ruined for high rise buildings, and shopping centres. Getting people to back off is relatively easy, even if it leads to abduction, however, the clear otherworldly nature in which people go missing gets the attention of a certain Professor, who's sent his half-demon son to check things out. There isn't anyone - who isn't evil, or tried to kill him - that is like himself, that so far Hellboy has seen. Ilana is different, not just from the fact she's the complete opposite to himself, but because she is also like himself; not of this world, and stuck in between being liked and feared. Both encounter various trials along the way, and may just find out that their relationship, no matter if it is strained at times, could be more than just mutual friendship.…
(The last oc one-shot for a while, I promise..)Grimmjow wasn't particularly interested really in Nimishi, unless it involved goading, annoying and arguing with her; the worst part of it all was the fact that she didn't back down and gave as good as she could get. Two extremely stubborn headed people, whatever could go wrong.…
(Another noncommittal oc one-shot to avoid full length story writing...)Beatrice Nightingale was a peculiar human, not afraid of stepping into the dark in what could be perceived as an attempt to befriend and humour a centuries old vampire. Despite his best notions, it is an action which fills Arthur Hellsing with dread; he knows full well the strength and capability of the resident vampire in his manor's basement. Alucard for one is just content in his own way to watch humans be humans, such funny, entertaining little creatures that he never thought a genuine friendship would apparently spark, let alone something more develop when Beatrice's freedom of choice is taken from her, and she is in need of some vampiric assistance.…
(Another OC one-shot, because it's easier than me failing at an actual story.)The heart can only withstand so much pain before it refuses to heal, that was certainly not the case with Byakuya. He had chosen to close himself off, and he thought he had done a rather good job of it, if only it wasn't for Akari and the warming presence that she seemingly constantly bought to his life. Shutting himself off from emotion was steadily becoming a lot harder with her around, and like any emotion, love can be contained for only so long before it spills over and needs to be expressed, no matter how exaggerated or subtly the action is.…
An OC oneshot, because I can't commit to a new story (I don't think...)Morella, a pink and yellow moth demon with broken wings and no voice moves into the Hazbin Hotel, the building is full of colourful characters, some more than others. The one person Morella never thought she'd get the attention of was the King of Hell himself, Lucifer. Having recently got back in touch with Charlie, he too has moved into the hotel, rubber ducks and all. Through daily disagreements with Alastor and trying to find a place within the hotel, the tall and slender pink and yellow moth demon is something to behold; not just because of her content silence, but there is something about her which Lucifer feels is luring him in, ironically like a moth to the flame.…
"I have not met a Banuk before. Only heard tales, I did not think to see one here." It was a polite way of Kotallo saying that what he had heard, were fanciful tales of hermits in snow covered hills who did not wish to socialise with the wider world. Nureka smiled, "I left my home for a greater cause." She explained before pushing away from the table with a small sigh. "Here's to firsts, I have never met a Tenakth before either; yet here we are, Kotallo." Nureka smiled and took a step back, she inclined her head and he did the same right back at her.Having aided Aloy in the battle of Meridian, Nureka, a Banuk Shaman from Ban-Ur promised to lend her help to Aloy, whenever she'd need it. Resurrecting an AI, dealing with rogue rebelling Tenakth along with everything else in between seems like an immense undertaking. Let alone one Tenakth in question joining the ranks of Aloy's comrades and causing unknown feelings to stir within Nureka, as secretive as the Banuk can be, even she isn't fooling herself or anyone else, let alone Kotallo who is as quick as an arrow.…
Growing up in wartime was hard for everyone, be them adults or children alike; Saruyama Senju was no exception. She had seen people come and go so many times, that she had lost count of all those she had buried and said farewell to, her mother included. She never, in a million years expected that one day she would stumble on someone, thanks to her brother, that would happen to be a breath of fresh air, Madara Uchiha never intended to befriend someone who was an enemy, let alone their sister. But sometimes there is a very thin line between what is meant to be hatred, and what is love, and there is one thing the Uchiha clan are exceptionally good at, and that is having deep roots to their feelings and affections.…
It's easy to see what can be missed when the chances are that it's gone, taken and an unknown to where they've gone. A one-shot in which Charles Smith and Hattie Meyer realise that they care deeply for each other, and all it took was grimy poachers and a hunting trip to realise just that.…
A story styled oneshot where Eomer comes to the rescue of Thrya, a close consort to Eowyn; awkward skirting and avoidance can only last so long before one action causes realisation to kick in.…
For as long as she could remember, Liruliniel had one goal, one hope, one thing she wanted to aspire to be and do: she wanted to be a royal guard, like her father. Only, to get to that, a few trials and problems lay in her path. War, battles so terrible that the loses don't outweigh the success of wining. Love, failing and being to one side powerless in the turmoil of emotions. Friendship, some long standing, some new; but all of these things circle and involve each other, something terrible is coming, a rise of a dark power and the losing of control of everything.…
A one-shot in which Yachiru finds it amusing to try and play matchmaker, and for what started out as a joke to get the pink haired girl back, actually ended up becoming something more.I'm literally writing this and maybe other one-shots between other stuff I'm working on to save getting complete writer's block!…
"Everything that is alive, can love; it can feel. Even if you think you can't, doesn't actually mean you can't, Walter." Onora Price smiled from behind one of the many trees which were stashed away onboard the USCSS Covenant at the brunette synthetic which stood on the other side, confused frown in place and blue eyes fixated on her as her hands trailed over the bark of the tree. She was wrong, Onora could admit when she was wrong; and she was wrong when she instantly presumed that Walter was incapable of feelings, of emotions, of any sort or type. There was certainly more to the synthetic than she first originally thought, and honestly, when it came to accepting to come onboard the Covenant, the last thing she expected was to discover that even through clever programming, being able to feel could not, and would not be stopped.…
David, brought into the world by Peter Weyland with the simple directive to serve. Created to serve, it instantly seems to be a hardship, a life which will be dictated by another, without a free will of his own, because free will is simply an illusion. But, there is another who is unlucky enough to be trapped under the same roof as Weyland, and it isn't his eldest daughter Meredith; Minerva, the girl in the cluttered room who is not all that she seems to be. Relatively the same, yet also different, both David and Minerva end up finding themselves more alike than they thought as life decides to twist and turn before them.…
Alma Meadows, loyal Weyland Corp employee is one of many who work on creating the new, better androids to beat the rest which come from the company; or even the competition. An android with emotions seems like an oddly acceptable idea, but she has some reservations, even more so when the first David 8 wakes up and she has the pleasure to try and help him make sense of the world around him; to make sure that an android which can understand and show emotions is safe for the general populace. This all seems too simple, and life is good until talk of funding the Prometheus project crosses her path, and then things go from bad to worse, along with the rest of the crew as the search for their own creators comes into consideration with dire consequences.…
(Sequel to Human After All.)With the crash landing of the Juggernaut and the destruction of the Prometheus, and with the promise of leaving; Elizabeth Shaw, Alma Meadows and David find themselves in a trying predicament. Returning home does not seem to be an option, finding the Engineer's home world, however, is. By his own admission, David states he could get them there, but he'd rather they fixed him along the way, being a decapitated head isn't the lifestyle for him. With LV-223 far behind, things if anything get more strained as both humans slowly run out of supplies, having been reduced to succumbing to hypersleep, both expect to be woken when they arrive on the Engineer's planet, thus leaving David alone on the commandeered Juggernaut. Only, being left alone doesn't mean he will just spend his time minding his business like he did when on the Prometheus, no, David has ideals, has plans, and getting rid of the Engineers is just step one. After many, many years, when a crew appear suddenly, he cannot help but find curiosity in them, even more so when an android, a brother in arms, is with them. Who and why are the crew of the Covenant here? And who are the other mysterious colonists which keep getting mentioned? Not all is what it appears to be within Paradise, and honestly, David doesn't find himself caring all that much.…
Amidst such hardship and tragedy, it was unlikely that Erik Lensherr would've expected to come across anyone remotely like himself during one of the world's darkest times. Yet this is where he met Liesel Jäger, another unlikely discovery made by Sebastian Shaw. Being different could just get them through this, yet what happens afterwards? With Shaw on the run, it becomes apparent that Erik is determined to find him, while Liesel is uncertain. Perhaps with sudden recruiting she may just be swayed to joining in with stopping the madman from starting another world war. But once this is done and finished with...what then? New trouble arises, old friends return, and new ones appear. A peaceful simple life is all that Liesel had every really wanted, shame that it is the complete opposite to what Erik wishes for.…
(Sequel to Requiem.) With the rise and fall of Trask Industries, the world now knows of mutants; what the humanrace does with this knowledge remains to be seen. There is a mutual understanding it seems, but even for someone such as Erik, he can't help but find it a little strange to try and settle down into suburban life. However, Liesel for one seems to be having a whale of a time! No longer on the run, having somewhere to live - with Erik no less! - it's literally all she's ever asked for...but how come, despite leaving America to try and start a new life together, trouble can't help but still rear its ugly head and cause problems? The rise of an old God seeking refuge and reincarnation is not something to be taken lightly, nor is an intergalactic problem who takes over a new friend. Whatever the problem, it's still something that will get tackled head on by Erik, and he isn't going to do it alone; after all, him and Liesel have always been together, he couldn't think of anyone better to face an uncertain future with, than her.…
