"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." Hearing Imelda speaking, Arthur blinked and looked down at her. She smiled and nodded at him, "What is it you're looking up at, Arthur? What's your stars, as per se?" She leaned casually against the wall; arms crossed regardless of the rustle of the plastic bag as she crossed one ankle over the over. He became a little nervous, admittedly. Imelda just looked at him patiently, smiling kindly all the while. She didn't mind him taking time to answer. "I want to go into comedy." Arthur said, watching her smile widen, she looked interestedly at him. "Standup, mainly." Arthur never thought in a million years that he would cross paths with someone who genuinely seemed to care and want to know what he would say; likewise with how he felt. Imelda Henderson was a little ray of sunshine in an otherwise bleak and dismal life, one which Arthur was more than glad came into his life. However, he was soon going to set into motion events that even he could not foresee or wholly control, but what's the point of controlling that which needs to be freed and let loose on the world? But then likewise, who says that needing to slowly let go and transform needs to be done alone? Everybody needs a somebody in their corner, and plus; misery loves company.…

The Sentinels have ravaged the world, both humans and mutants alike are being chased down, hunted out and killed unjustly, just for the sake of existing; for the sake of a future for everyone, the small group of survivors send their only hope back in time to try and rectify a great wrong. Needless to say, Logan was not entirely prepared for this trip, be it the hope of everyone he left behind not dying and finding a new life outside of being constantly on the run, or for the fact that the people in the past are not quite like he expected. The one person he never thought he'd cross paths with, was perhaps one of few that when they died, it cut so deep it was a pain he continued to carry on with him, forevermore.…

"I have not met a Banuk before. Only heard tales, I did not think to see one here." It was a polite way of Kotallo saying that what he had heard, were fanciful tales of hermits in snow covered hills who did not wish to socialise with the wider world. Nureka smiled, "I left my home for a greater cause." She explained before pushing away from the table with a small sigh. "Here's to firsts, I have never met a Tenakth before either; yet here we are, Kotallo." Nureka smiled and took a step back, she inclined her head and he did the same right back at her.Having aided Aloy in the battle of Meridian, Nureka, a Banuk Shaman from Ban-Ur promised to lend her help to Aloy, whenever she'd need it. Resurrecting an AI, dealing with rogue rebelling Tenakth along with everything else in between seems like an immense undertaking. Let alone one Tenakth in question joining the ranks of Aloy's comrades and causing unknown feelings to stir within Nureka, as secretive as the Banuk can be, even she isn't fooling herself or anyone else, let alone Kotallo who is as quick as an arrow.…

A possibly small story of where one Vincent Valentine not only has to face up to the fact that he isn't as alone as he thought, but also that the prospect of feeling again could not be more within reach as it could be throughout this hunt for both Sephiroth, and the Ancient's Temple.…

Growing up in wartime was hard for everyone, be them adults or children alike; Saruyama Senju was no exception. She had seen people come and go so many times, that she had lost count of all those she had buried and said farewell to, her mother included. She never, in a million years expected that one day she would stumble on someone, thanks to her brother, that would happen to be a breath of fresh air, Madara Uchiha never intended to befriend someone who was an enemy, let alone their sister. But sometimes there is a very thin line between what is meant to be hatred, and what is love, and there is one thing the Uchiha clan are exceptionally good at, and that is having deep roots to their feelings and affections.…

It's easy to see what can be missed when the chances are that it's gone, taken and an unknown to where they've gone. A one-shot in which Charles Smith and Hattie Meyer realise that they care deeply for each other, and all it took was grimy poachers and a hunting trip to realise just that.…

For as long as she could remember, Liruliniel had one goal, one hope, one thing she wanted to aspire to be and do: she wanted to be a royal guard, like her father. Only, to get to that, a few trials and problems lay in her path. War, battles so terrible that the loses don't outweigh the success of wining. Love, failing and being to one side powerless in the turmoil of emotions. Friendship, some long standing, some new; but all of these things circle and involve each other, something terrible is coming, a rise of a dark power and the losing of control of everything.…

"Everything that is alive, can love; it can feel. Even if you think you can't, doesn't actually mean you can't, Walter." Onora Price smiled from behind one of the many trees which were stashed away onboard the USCSS Covenant at the brunette synthetic which stood on the other side, confused frown in place and blue eyes fixated on her as her hands trailed over the bark of the tree. She was wrong, Onora could admit when she was wrong; and she was wrong when she instantly presumed that Walter was incapable of feelings, of emotions, of any sort or type. There was certainly more to the synthetic than she first originally thought, and honestly, when it came to accepting to come onboard the Covenant, the last thing she expected was to discover that even through clever programming, being able to feel could not, and would not be stopped.…

David, brought into the world by Peter Weyland with the simple directive to serve. Created to serve, it instantly seems to be a hardship, a life which will be dictated by another, without a free will of his own, because free will is simply an illusion. But, there is another who is unlucky enough to be trapped under the same roof as Weyland, and it isn't his eldest daughter Meredith; Minerva, the girl in the cluttered room who is not all that she seems to be. Relatively the same, yet also different, both David and Minerva end up finding themselves more alike than they thought as life decides to twist and turn before them.…

Alma Meadows, loyal Weyland Corp employee is one of many who work on creating the new, better androids to beat the rest which come from the company; or even the competition. An android with emotions seems like an oddly acceptable idea, but she has some reservations, even more so when the first David 8 wakes up and she has the pleasure to try and help him make sense of the world around him; to make sure that an android which can understand and show emotions is safe for the general populace. This all seems too simple, and life is good until talk of funding the Prometheus project crosses her path, and then things go from bad to worse, along with the rest of the crew as the search for their own creators comes into consideration with dire consequences.…

(Sequel to Human After All.)With the crash landing of the Juggernaut and the destruction of the Prometheus, and with the promise of leaving; Elizabeth Shaw, Alma Meadows and David find themselves in a trying predicament. Returning home does not seem to be an option, finding the Engineer's home world, however, is. By his own admission, David states he could get them there, but he'd rather they fixed him along the way, being a decapitated head isn't the lifestyle for him. With LV-223 far behind, things if anything get more strained as both humans slowly run out of supplies, having been reduced to succumbing to hypersleep, both expect to be woken when they arrive on the Engineer's planet, thus leaving David alone on the commandeered Juggernaut. Only, being left alone doesn't mean he will just spend his time minding his business like he did when on the Prometheus, no, David has ideals, has plans, and getting rid of the Engineers is just step one. After many, many years, when a crew appear suddenly, he cannot help but find curiosity in them, even more so when an android, a brother in arms, is with them. Who and why are the crew of the Covenant here? And who are the other mysterious colonists which keep getting mentioned? Not all is what it appears to be within Paradise, and honestly, David doesn't find himself caring all that much.…

Amidst such hardship and tragedy, it was unlikely that Erik Lensherr would've expected to come across anyone remotely like himself during one of the world's darkest times. Yet this is where he met Liesel Jäger, another unlikely discovery made by Sebastian Shaw. Being different could just get them through this, yet what happens afterwards? With Shaw on the run, it becomes apparent that Erik is determined to find him, while Liesel is uncertain. Perhaps with sudden recruiting she may just be swayed to joining in with stopping the madman from starting another world war. But once this is done and finished with...what then? New trouble arises, old friends return, and new ones appear. A peaceful simple life is all that Liesel had every really wanted, shame that it is the complete opposite to what Erik wishes for.…

(Sequel to Requiem.) With the rise and fall of Trask Industries, the world now knows of mutants; what the humanrace does with this knowledge remains to be seen. There is a mutual understanding it seems, but even for someone such as Erik, he can't help but find it a little strange to try and settle down into suburban life. However, Liesel for one seems to be having a whale of a time! No longer on the run, having somewhere to live - with Erik no less! - it's literally all she's ever asked for...but how come, despite leaving America to try and start a new life together, trouble can't help but still rear its ugly head and cause problems? The rise of an old God seeking refuge and reincarnation is not something to be taken lightly, nor is an intergalactic problem who takes over a new friend. Whatever the problem, it's still something that will get tackled head on by Erik, and he isn't going to do it alone; after all, him and Liesel have always been together, he couldn't think of anyone better to face an uncertain future with, than her.…

After the rise and fall of Sebastian Shaw, and the disbanding of the team, Hank McCoy is as closed off as everyone else from that experience. He attempts to ignore his own suffering, for the sake of Charles, who has lost everything; his sister, his best friend, and the use of his legs. The presence of Sean and Alex brings little comfort, and they too eventually leave. But slowly, somehow, people have heard of the manor being a safe place, and Hank finds himself yet again surrounded by people, Charles seems to welcome this with open arms; even as Hank reverts back to old ways of becoming a shut in. Not that that lasts long before Charles eventually persuades him to leave the manor, to see the world and what it has now become, no way did Charles ever expect that Hank would end up meeting someone, a girl, while on one of his many forced outings.…

Moving from the crime capital of the world, to the quiet idyllic scenery of Smallville, the last thing Annie Lockett half expects is to befriend the one person who the other children label a 'freak'. In the same respect, the last thing Clark Kent expected was to have the new comer be nice to him, and soon become the best friend he never seemed to have before. Becoming inseparable is one thing, but growing up with budding romantic feelings is another thing completely, coupled with a rather big secret about Clark that he'd much rather keep a secret.Original story finished: June/2016Edited story finished: Jan/2017…

Sequel to: Beyond the Sun.Life was never an easy feint, it would be asking too much for life to be easy now. Establishing himself as a resident hero of Metropolis, plus reporter by day; how could life possibly get any more hectic? Like before Zod's failed invasion was bad enough, honestly, Clark didn't think he was asking for too much for life to calm down now.Sadly, as ever, life had other ideas.Gotham's resident bat's kicking up a fuss and hitting headlines in all manner of ways, it clearly wouldn't take long before he set his sights firmly in Clark's direction; not that he was wholly wishing to fight Batman, but if that's what it took for him to back off, then so be it.If that wasn't enough, Bruce Wayne and his sudden injection into his and Annie's life proves to be more harmful than good, but then this is Bruce Wayne, what else could anyone expect? It is not exactly a shock when it's learned that himself and Batman are one and the same.Competing companies, madmen creating monsters from Kryptonian's, a God from space, a child and a possible wedding. It was definitely safe to say that life was only just starting to get a bit hectic.…
