Tord is a Siren, Tom is a Sailor spending time on the waters of lake near his house when he catches something rather big. He pulls it ashore and sure enough, it isn't just any fish, he's caught a juvenile Siren, Tord. He pulls him ashore and obviously Tord isn't too keen on staying with Tom, he only wants to return to his family that he'd been separated from when he was caught by another fishermen, having escaped his net but not the lake he got stuck in.
