Softpaw is an apprentice in WindClan. She is the daughter of two renowned warriors, sister of the StarClan blessed medicine cat apprentice, and mentored by one of the greatest warriors the moorlands has ever seen. But, despite how perfect it sounds, it isn't. Her parents argue over the littlest things and drags her and her sister into all of their fights. Her sister is constantly sick but refuses to tell anyone in fear. Her mentor is a monster that hides behind his fame, who receives no punishment for all his crimes. One night, Softpaw meets a strange cat who lives out by the Twolegs barn. He's charming, funny, and puts her mind at ease when she's around him. He's her everything, just like she's his everything. Softpaw has until Leaf-fall (or as Krieg calls it, 'Autumn') to show the Clan the truth of the cats they look so highly up to.
