Gold is Johto Champion, trainer of the legendary Pokemon Lugia, and holds all eight Kanto Gym Badges. He's just been given clearance to travel to Mt. Silver, the most dangerous place on earth, and he's excited to train his Pokemon, capture new ones, and possibly even meet and battle the legendary Kanto Champion Red, who is said to wait for challengers at the mountain's peak. However, right before he leaves, his best friend Silver goes missing, and as soon as he arrives, he runs into Lance, the Dragon Tamer, a former Champion with bad news: Team Rocket is back, again.Regional Champions from Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova are coming to Mt.
