Four months After Unicron is stopped, Cade is no longer a fugitive. Vivian inherits Sir Edmund Burton's mansion; Cade, Izzy, and Tessa now live with her. Cade has a barn built for the bots and his workshop. Optimus Prime is staying, but who knows for how long? There are still humans who don't trust the Autobots, though there's no task force targeting them. The Autobots continue to patrol for Decepticons. It's been two years since the battle in China with KSI drones. Jamie returns to Cade's dimension to take a break from all the action and spend time with the Autobots. Though Cade is living in a junkyard, hiding from the government and there's not much to do in a junkyard.Jamie's friends, Jayce and J.R, have come with her. Though like Crosshairs, J.R. finds the junkyard boring. Aside from hearing those two complain, Jamie is enjoying her time with her friends until one night, her enemy, Jadin, attacks and kidnaps her. The Autobots, Cade, Jayce, and J.R. rush to locate where Jadin is heading. Unfortunately, she's far from the junkyard. They know Jadin is here to kill Jamie, and there's an easy way to accomplish that. The Autobots and friends get to Jamie, but she is hanging in by a thread. Jayce does all she can to help Jamie but, all anyone can do is wait and hope Jamie will recover from what Jadin did. Crosshairs and Drift refuse to be near Jamie. J.R. is terrified Jamie won't survive while Jayce is trying to be optimistic until she has nightmares about what happened and Jamie dying.Everything changes when Jamie flatlines nine days later; Cade successfully revives her, but everyone is terrified that Jamie isn't strong enough to fight what Jadin did. They'll lose her, and Drift will lose his girl. Jayce leaves without telling anyone less than 24 hours later, causing J.R. to be under a lot of stress until Jayce returns. Jayce returns with Bulma, who takes over caring for Jamie, hoping to relieve the girls' stress. Both Jayce and J.R. become more agitated as the days come and go.
