Everyone in Fairy Tail thought she was coming back in ten years. So they were expecting her to be all grown up, but in contrary she came back in two years at the age of 16 and completed her request. But in the request somethings she had discovered things about Fairy Tail, but mostly about herself, and her deceased family.
