Note: This would be my first and last story on ICT with so many harsh words because I have realized that these are not my cup of tea because imagining something bad about them is killing me and I regret writing something as such but as I started I can't leave in between. And I know I would surely be punished for writing this about the most important people of my life and I deserve it too. Hosaketho maaf kardena Mahi bhai...

Somewhere in a place which seemed to be a basement, Sakshi is tied to a chair and the masked man was standing in front of her. Though his face is covered, his eyes portrayed the sense of accomplishment which didn't go unnoticed by Sakshi. Being confused and a little scared, she asked: "Who are you?" for which she got no response, so she continued: "What do you want from me?"

"I don't want anything from you sweetheart", replied the man sarcastically.

"Then?", asked Sakshi being confused.

"Have patience, my dear. Now, let's call your dear husband...don't you want to speak with him?", asked the man and without waiting for her reply, he dialed Mahi's number. 

In BCCI Headquarters, Mahi was sitting all alone comprehending all the recent happenings trying to figure out the reasons behind the abduction of Sakshi. He made up his mind to go to any extent to find his only love as soon as Anushka reaches safely. As he was all lost in his thoughts, his phone rings

"Hello", answered Mahi.

"Mahi bhai, how are you?", asked the masked man cheerfully.

"Sorry, I didn't recognize you but...your voice seems familiar", said Mahi trying to remember.

"Don't worry sooner or later you would find me out. I don't have anything to lose or to be scared of", replied the man and hearing no response he continued "So, let me give a piece of good news that your wife is with me safe and sound. Wanna see?", asked the man.

"Yes please", instantly replied Mahi getting up from the couch.

The man disconnected the call and made a video call. Looking at each other both Mahi and Sakshi had tears in their eyes.

"Mahi, Arhan has Anushka and I couldn't protect her", said Sakshi immediately bowing her head down.

"We got her Sakshi and you did what all you can, don't feel disheartened", said Mahi feeling proud of his wife who is more worried about her family even though she is in trouble. What else he can ask for other than her safety.

"Now if your so-called boring talk is over, let me speak. Look Bhai, I am coming straight to the point. If you want to get your wife back, do a few simple things for me", said the man while Mahi was just staring at Sakshi who was struggling to free herself. Hearing no reply, he took a needle from his pocket, placing the syringe near Sakshi's neck he continued, 

"Haww seems like your husband doesn't love you, Sakshi Ji. Do you know what is this?", he said pressing the syringe nearer to her skin, "One dosage of this drug would help you sleep peacefully while two dosages would help you to rest in peace for the lifetime."

"Stop", shouted Mahi "Listen we will sit and talk. Don't harm her please, I am ready to do whatever you want", agreed Mahi with tears in his eyes.

"That's like my boy. Now, listen carefully", continued the man.

Press Meet Continues

"So Sourav sir, what you are planning to do with them? If I were you, I wouldn't leave them so easily", asked one of the reporters.

"Well, we will decide it once Arhan is brought back here", replied Dada while he was interrupted by Mahi.

"Excuse me Dada, sorry to interrupt. Can I speak a few words?", asked Mahi.

"Sure sure, come on", invited Dada unaware of the upcoming storm.

In Ananya's house

Seeing Dada's press meet, knowing the fact that everything is alright, I hugged Virat and was smiling widely with happy tears. I looked at Virat whose eyes were glued to the television hearing attentively without missing a word. Just then Mahi Bhai stepped onto the stage and we both were eagerly waiting for what he has got to say. What we heard next has shaken us beyond explanation and we both were sitting silently not understanding how to react and involuntarily tears started brimming our eyes.

Press Meet

"Good evening everyone, I am here to announce my retirement from all the formats", hearing which Dada shouted, "Mahi this is not the right time for all this". But without paying any heed, Mahi continued,

"It's been 15 years since my debut and I am grateful to every person who trusted that I can achieve greater heights and supported me at every point of time in my life. Before I leave, I wanted to accept a few things which I did in spite of knowing that I was wrong. Dada indeed left the captaincy because of me and it's true that for my benefit I have destroyed the career of many players, I was indeed selfish, I was indeed credit stealer...It's..."

"Stop it...just stop it", Dada came forward "Are you out of your mind?", shouted Dada not able to understand what got into his Mahi's head all of a sudden.

"Please stay out of it Dada, I don't want to leave cricket with this guilt. Let me tell them that they were all following the wrong person...I am..I am a cheater, always put myself ahead of the team... Let me, Dada, please", said Mahi again with no expressions on his face except tears in his eyes.

"No way, switch off the mikes", shouted Dada pushing Mahi away from the press meet and into a nearby room locking it from inside.

"What was that Mahi? Is this some kind of joke? When everything is getting fine, why...", before he continued, his phone rings and he answered softening his tone "Hello"

"Hello sir, I have just dropped Anushka mam in Hyderabad at Ananya madam's house, informed the pilot.

"Thank you, please come back", saying which Dada was about to disconnect the call when something strikes him "Hey what did you just say...you dropped Anushka, what about Sakshi?"

"Sorry sir, we couldn't find her", apologized the pilot.

"What the hell...then why did you return leaving her behind?", shouted Dada looking at Mahi who was sitting on the couch looking out of the window, as usual, hiding all his remorse in his heart away from the world.

"Dhoni...Dhoni sir asked us to...", stuttered the pilot fearing the rage of Dada while Dada disconnected the call before running towards Mahi taking him into a bone-crushing hug.

Ananya's house

I was just sitting on the couch with tears constantly flowing through my eyes while Virat was side hugging me rubbing my back trying to console me though he was crying. We both were silent for God knows how many minutes, but was back into the world hearing a doorbell followed by Lalitha's(my maid) voice informing the arrival of Anushka bhabhi. Virat immediately went and hugged Anushka though she didn't reciprocate with all her heart.

I immediately turned back in the hope to find Sakshi bhabhi so that I could complain about Mahi Bhai but was confused about not finding her.

"Bhabhi...Sakshi bhabhi...", I asked Anushka bhabhi with a questioning look.

As soon as I uttered Sakshi bhabhi's name, she burst out into tears increasing our heartbeat.

"Nushki, what happened? Why are you crying?", asked Virat making Anushka sit on a chair while Lalitha bought a glass of water for her.

"I don't know...someone...someone has abducted her in Paris", she stuttered in between the muffles looking down.

Virat moved back in shock while I collapsed on the ground on my knees.

"Nushki, she came there for me...for us...and you...", understanding what Virat was about to say, I just shook my head in no while he looked down being silent and then something dawned to us about the recent interview.

"So, this is the reason for Mahi Bhai speaking like that", I and Virat said at the same time. As we were just looking into nothing, I got a call from Ro and Virat answered.

"Vi...Mahi bhai is not answering my calls?", cried in Rohit.

"Ro, Anushka just came here and...and she is saying that Sakshi bhabhi has been abducted", replied Virat.

"What?", shouted the entire team followed by silence.
