Alice and I texted awhile last night. It was around four in the morning g when bear returned home.

"You left me. Again!"

"Sorry dude but I ditched the lame ass party and hung out with someone," I explained

"Who is someone?"

"Alice,"

"Oooo,"

"Don't even try it Bear," I threatened

He walked off with his hands up in defense.

I rolled my eyes and texted Alice.

Me: Hey
⭐️AℓᎥce⭐️: can I call you?
Me: yeah sure

I waited a moment and my phone began to ring. Instead of calling she accidentally FaceTimed me.

"Oops sorry," she said

"It's fine I told her,"

"Okay then,"

"Wanna hang out later?" I asked jumping into my bed and falling down.

"Sure. Meet me at the skate park at noon?"

It was 10:24 now.

"Sure,"

"Okay I'll see you then,"

Just then I heard someone yell. Alice threw down her phone and I could only see her ceiling.

"Alison Jane!" Someone yelled

"Yes?!" Alice replies

I hear footsteps come Into the room

"Where were you last night?" A man yelled

"I was hanging out with a friend," she replied nervously

"Why'd you come home so late!"

"Because we lost track of time," she defended herself "We were at the skate park,"

The connection was fuzzy and I couldn't make out the words they were yelling at each other. She looked down at her phone and she freaked out. There were tears streaming down her face and she ended the call.

I quickly texted her saying I'd pick her up. She read it but didn't reply. I got up and put on a different shirt. I then went out and sat In the living room. Bear was on the couch next to me.

"Where are you going?" He asked

"Out," I replied

"Out where Tanner?"

"With a friend," I said and got up. I opened my door and Kiki hopped In.

"When did you get out?" I asked as she stepped into the back seat.

I rolled my eyes and let her come with me. I pulled onto Alice's block and saw her sitting on the curb.

I pulled up in front of her and rolled down my window

"Wanna go somewhere?" I asked

She looked up from her lap and smiled. She walked in front of my car and she climbed inside.

"You've been warned," I said

"Warned about wha-" she was cut off by a dog climbing into the front licking her face

"That," I laughed

"Opff," she muffled as Kiki climes Into her lap

"Kiki down," I commanded and she crawled into the backseat

"Is this your dog?" She asked

"Noo, I just picked her up off the side of the road," I mocked

Alice laughed again

"Now why was my Alice crying?" I asked

"Oh it's nothing," she replied looking away from me

"Well where do you wanna go?" I asked

"Around town seems fun," she suggested

I agreed and we drove to a parking lot downtown. We got put and I put Kiki on a leash. We then just walked around looking at things and making fun of names of stores.

"Wanna get ice cream?" I asked after about an hour of walking

"Sure,"

We walked into a small parlor and they didn't seem to mind my dog.

"Can I get a medium soft serve vanilla please?" Alice our in her order

"I'll take the same and can I also get a small vanilla soft serve in a cup?" I asked "I don't want my dog to feel left out," I rubbed her face like she was an idiot

"I also don't want her jumping on us since we have food," I laughed

Alice laughed too and so did the cashier.

They gave us our Ice cream and Alice was holding Kiki's leash while I had her ice cream.

We went outside to where there was a bench. Alice sat on my right and Kiki was on my left. I set her bowl on the ground and let her eat.

Alice giggled when she got it all over her fur.

I pulled out my phone and held it up. I took two pictures of me and Alice laughing before she realized

"Oh my god Tanner no! I look so bad" she said tryin to take my phone.

"Fine then take a good one with me,"

I brought my phone up and she smiled cheekily I copied her. We then took one with our ice cream in front of our faces and then I got one where I swiped my cone across her nose leaving her shocked.

"Great now I'm going to be sticky," she complained

I laughed and sent her the pictures.

We eventually got back to my car at around 6:30.

When she shut her car door I had to ask her something.

"Come on Kiki, come on!" I tainted her as she would t jump into the car.

Wen she finally did I shut the door and got into the driver seat.

"When you were in the phone who was yelling at you?" I asked

"Oh. That was my over protective dad. He's great but just gets a little cranky and paranoid sometimes."

"How come?"

"My mom hasn't been replying to us for over a month and we're worried."

"What do you mean?" I asked concerned

"My mom works in the military and she's been away for over a month now with no contact. I'm just... worried,"

I put my hand over top of hers.

She slowly looked over at my hand on hers. She paused. A silent tear dropped from her eye and glided down her cheek. She slowly turned her hand over and grabbed mine gently intertwining our fingers. I squeezed her hand lightly.

"It'll be okay," I whispered pressing my head against hers

I saw her smile lightly underneath her hair that was in her face.

And I smiled too.

How's that for a long chapter? Also never mind on me ending this book soon. I just got soooo many ideas for it U^ェ^U
