*Continuation of the past scenes of "The Carnival Of Night"*
Recap :
Once we reached our destination, I looped my arm around Henry and he carefully led me to the entrance gate of the carnival ground. "The Night City Carnival." I read the large looped banner with the painted letters and saw a man inside a booth at the gate with an irked look yelling, "Two!" and passed two tickets once Henry placed the money at the counter.
Taking the tickets, we entered inside the large and beautiful looking carnival with various rides including the famous large ferris wheel with lights, stalls, gift shops, gaming zones, food court and that particular place where instead of a vendor, a strange machine hand gave out cotton candy and balloons.

Rose's POV:
"This is so exciting! Can we go to the cotton candy arm?" I almost squealed in excitement and don't really remember when was the last time I went to a Carnival.
I had visited the human carnivals in Krestochia but now I realise that some of the strange pale beings wandering around the place weren't humans.
Now that I am visiting the Carnival of South Vamparia, this makes sense.
Most of them had red eyes, shimmering in the dark. Some even had crystal purple eyes. As far as I know, the red eyed ones are the commoners, purple eyed ones belong to upper middle class. It wasn't surprising that purple eyed ones were rare in this place. Mostly men.
Henry pulled my arm with him towards the cotton candy hand that gave out the candy sticks if we inserted a coin in the slit at the side of the machine. It looked futuristic and fascinating.
I watched carefully as Henry pulled out two coins out of his pocket and inserted them inside the slit. The machine hand made creaky noises and started the process of cotton candy formation in a large blue tinted fibre glass bowl.
After it was done and me being mesmerized by the way the machine worked, I stepped forward to take the two outputs which were purple colored candies.
I handed one to Henry and took a bite of my own when I realised it was amazing!
At first I tasted bubble gum flavor, then tangy and sugary at the end. The cotton smelt of blue berries. Hats off to whoever invented this machine.
"This is delicious." I commented taking another bite and watched Henry smile charmingly.
"I am glad." He spoke softly before taking me to the ferris wheel. On the way I saw a magic shop which sold out mason jars filled with colored sands and sparkles. I stopped before the shop while Henry proceeded to buy the tickets.
Unable to control the excitement, I picked up a jar with pink dust inside it and carefully examined it, "Welcome to 'Ivy's charms', miss." I looked up at the squeaky voice with politeness that seemed more like sarcasm. To my surprise, there was no one. I looked around when a short and stout man walked from behind the shelf filled with phials of solutions.
"May I know what sort of charm are you looking for, miss?" His red eyes gleamed brightly at me and he splashed a perfect large grin with his fangs.
"Urr.. What does this one do?" Unsure of what exactly a mason jar charm and its types are, I asked him about the pink one in my hands.
"Ah, that. It's a rare charm of seduction, extracted from a plant found in the black mountains. All you need to do is add it to your perfume and a small spray will make all the heads turn." He smiled gracefully and continued, "Thirty pounds."
"Thirty?" I blurted out. It was too much for a small jar with pink sand.
"Oh miss, put aside the thought of price. Look at what it does. A small sprinkle and all the males will come behind you like moths to flame." He placed a hand beside him mouth and leant forward to whisper, "This is a rare one at the cheapest price. Compare it anywhere and I am sure you can't beat this price and quality."
This man sure sounded like a determined salesman.
I placed the charm of seduction aside and picked an another jar with greenish blue liquid and silver glitter. "And this?"
"That's an excellent choice, miss. It's a charm of humans. A small whiff and they will be dead in a deep slumber. Such an ease to catch a prey." He grinned with a wicked smile and I shivered a bit, placing the jar back to the place. I watched the black liquid jar and his expression turned, "That's the Devil's jar... One small drop and the blood will curdle out of their bodies, skin will dissolve among with the bones. Leaving just fresh meat and blood. Used by most of the royals, it's a little expensive but very handy."
I gasped a little but composed myself quickly, "I see.."
"What would you like me to pack for you, miss?" He clasped his hands, "You look new to the place, are you a new born vampire?" He questioned and continued, "If yes I will prefer the Devil's jar for you, miss. It's a great deal at this price. Just sixty pounds."
"Urm actually.." I searched for a reply to decline when he cut me short again, "If you take my advice, Devil's jar is the best choice you can make for a ravishing prey. If you say I will pack i-"
"No thank you, we are not buying anything." I flinched as I heard Henry behind me with a rough tone.
He pulled me with him to the entrance of the ferris wheel and I could see the salesman making a strange yet fierce face at me.
"How creepy.." I sighed when Henry nudged my arm and gave a stern look, "I told you not to get away from me or talk to anyone. It's not safe."
"But he was just showing me the items in his shop." I protested.
"As if they are honest." He pressed his lips in a thin line and continued, "Whatever they say is a hoax to sell out their things to innocent customers. Never negotiate with one of such sellers again. Am I clear?"
"Yes, daddy." I pulled a funny face and my eyes grew wide when I realised that I had pulled out a double meaning joke.
I seriously need to stay away from Karen sometimes.
But, in my defense he was acting like a mother goose.
"Well then don't give daddy a chance to spank that lush bottom of yours tonight." Henry's captivating brown eyes grew dark and a ghost of smile appeared on his lips as he leant closer.
My cheeks grew warm and I looked away from him. "Take this ticket." He ordered. I quickly took the small piece of paper out of his hand and got into the line. Henry was behind me and a lady before me who I remembered was the one I saw on the street, dressed too fancy.
She turned to me and gave a tight smile before waving her ticket before the guard and stepping in the entrance.
Confused I did nothing but stepped forward and showed my ticket and waited for Henry to join me.
A pale man dressed in a fancy costume led us to capsule and opened the door for us to get in. He locked it carefully and roared, "Roll!"
The wheel started moving and as our capsule climbed height, I sunk back in my seat. I am scared of heights.
"Don't worry, darling. I am right here." Henry pulled me close in his arms and smiled at me.
I looked down, still clutching his shoulders. The view below of the Carnival was breathtaking. The cotton candy arm seemed so small now and the people scattered around the place. The colorful lights and banners adding to the wonder of the place.
A small smile graced my lips and in the instant I saw a young lady waving up at me with a genuine grin.
I waved at her lightly and she gave me another smile before merging into the crowd and vanished.
"Who are you waving at?" Henry asked concerned and pulled me close, "Don't wave at strangers, Rose."
"I swear I have seen her...I think." I whispered and let go of my thoughts. I looked ahead and saw the shining castle. It looked magical.
"Thank you for bringing me to this place." I sighed and hugged him tight. "I love it!"
Henry chuckled at me and brought a hand to my face, "I am glad you are enjoying this." With a slight rub on my cheek, he leant in closer until our breaths mixed and pulled slightly at my lip with his thumb. "You look so ravishing tonight."
I bit down my lip at the complement to avoid smiling like a creep and he groaned, "Stop teasing me like that..."
I blushed furiously and he quickly brushed his lips on mine. I softly opened my lips and let him taste me as much as he wanted, not wanting to hold back.
Holding my neck firmly, his other hand slid down between my thighs and proceeded to lift my skirt off a little and massage my thighs.
I moaned loudly as his tongue dominated mine and his cold fingers teased the skin of my inner thighs and then moving to the aroused core through the panty fabric. I am sure I am a wet puddle of excitement down there.
I pulled at his lapels and begged more of him with soft moans when he pulled away suddenly but looked reluctant. With a frustrated look I questioned him, "Why?"
He pointed down silently and I realized that our ride was over.
"So soon?" I frowned when we landed and the door was opened. It didn't occur to me that we were kissing for long.
He led me towards a shop selling fast foods. I don't know if it's fit for my consumption if blood is mixed in it or maybe something more.
On our way, I turned to my right and watched the same fancy dressed woman examining a a jewelry box between her chubby hands.
"Rose, wait here till I come back with some snacks. Do not wander away." He warned and patted my back before getting into the line before the shop. The food shop was rather crowded and and I didn't mind waiting for him till he was back.
I let out a breathe and looked at the same woman again. She stood before the shop with jewelry boxes, accessories and some showcase items on display. My inner child loved to take a look at those things and I went curious again.
'No, Rose. Wait till Henry's back.' I chided myself and dug my nails into my palm to suppress the urge to wander the place.
'I can't!' I let out a frustrated groan and walked to the shop beside the lady. I scanned around the items and snapped my head up quickly when a woman spoke, "Hello, sweetie. What would you like to buy? A beautiful necklace or these dazzling earrings?" She smiled sweetly and handed me a pair of earrings.
I looked at the stone crusted gold played earrings and then started taking a look at other items until my eyes fell on a key ring, "The klestul bracelet. Ten pounds." The shopkeeper lady spoke again and I couldn't help but question, "What's a klestul?"
The woman beside me glared at me like I had grown two heads and the shopkeeper gasped dramatically, "Where are you from, child?"
"Are you even a vampire?" The woman beside me, finally burst a bomb.
What's this klestul thing anyway?
With a puzzled expression, I tried to lie when suddenly someone pulled at my arm, "Let's get out of here. You seem to attract trouble a lot." Henry hoarsely spoke and started leading me out of the place.
"What's a klestul?" I asked.
"A common red stone owned by every vampire, especially the females as a jewelry or just encrusted on their bodies. It's an extremely common item."
"I see." I tapped my chin and he stopped, "As for you. I will have to give you a befitting punishment for disobeying me for the second time."
I gasped, "Punishment?"
Henry hummed in response and whispered in my ear, "Daddy needs to punish you for being a bad little girl." I shivered as he took me out of the Carnival gate.
