Epilogue

Fruitful Future.

"Have faith and have a successful life. One of the basic differences between Allah and humans is, Allah gives, gives and forgives. But the human gets, gets, gets and forgets. Be thankful in life"
(Uknown)

The night lowered it's veils of darkness, the subtle wind had now turned into a chilly breeze, the street lights illuminated the dull roads, casting it's light onto the paved paths, the twinkling stars witnessed the
reunion of a father and son, the silent wind carried away the secrets that resided in the crevices of his heart.

The cool breeze , swirled past Raees causing him to shudder lightly. Farhaad slipped off his jacket , wrapped it around his sons little body and carried him to the car. Well he was not that little boy anymore , the one that he had once met in the supermarket , he was already nine years old , and Farhaad now regretted not spending those nine years with him. He settled him in the back seat , then jumped in beside him . Witnessing his sons nervousness and hesitance, he gave him a reassuring smile.

Haaniya sat beside Farhaad, a smile of contentment etched across her face. Although she still mourned over the loss of her daughter , she was ecstatic that Farhaad had finally agreed to take responsibility of his son , and being the loving and kind woman that she was , she promised Shabana as well as Farhaad , that when their son comes over to stay she will treat him like her very own child.

Allah knows best why He takes the life of beloved people , and like how Allah promised that after hardship there will definitely be ease , Allah had fulfilled this promise to them. Allah had reunited father and son , and had blessed Haaniya with the opportunity of conceiving once again.
She was now two months pregnant , and deep down in the crevices of her heart , she wished it would be a girl . Surely no other child could replace her first princess but, perhaps having another girl would fill the void in her heart. After all Allah knows what is best for her, and whatever she would deliver she would be thankful for.

The rays of the sun shone upon the lucious grass , the breeze swept pass the children as they played merrily. Haaniya and Shabana sat on a picnic mat watching over their children , while their husbands sat beside the bank of the lake , attempting to catch fish , their fishing rods dunked into the lake waiting to catch it's prey, while they were engrossed in conversation. Raees sat beside them busying himself with his ipad, oblivious of the beauty of nature that sarrounded him.

Haaniya's four year old son , and two year old daughter ran towards them , while Shabana's six year old daughter chased after them , looking rather aggigated for being responsible for two uncontrollable children who refused to stay in one place.

Faizan ran up to his mother huffing and puffing.
"Mummy water please !", he screeched , collapsing on his mother's lap.

Shabana laughed , handing him a paper cup filled with water, while he sat up in Haaniya's lap , flashing Shabana a sweet smile.

Just then Hafsa came running to her mother , displeased with the sight before her. Her brother was sitting happily on her mother's lap and the sight made her fling herself onto the floor , in a fit of jealousy she began wailing , seeking Haaniya's attention.
Haaniya sighed , unlike her late daughter Hafsa who was a sweet and quite child , yes she was demanding at times but, this little Hafsa was a handful , she was a little brat , reason being her father who spoilt her out of guilt of what happened to his other daughter. Even though Haaniya had strongly reprimanded him , he had turned deaf ears to her plea and spoilt their little daughter , until she became uncontrollable. Nevertheless Haaniya still loved her for she partially filled the void in her heart , not completely for her first daughter could never be forgotten.

Haaniya shifted Faizan to one side , and beckoned for Hafsa to sit on her other lap. The little drama queen immediately stopped feigning her wails , and happily rushed into her mother's embrace.

"Oh my word ! Ammi these two ...one is like a tornado the other like a cyclone , and the two of them together is like a serious natural disaster!" Shabanas six year old daughter, Liyyana huffed in irritation after dropping herself to the ground, causing the two women to chuckle at her words.

"Come on my sweety they are not that bad . Don't say that about them !", Shabana chided , slightly embarrassed at her daughters straight forwardness.

Haaniya laughed , waving it off.
" Liyyana is absolutely right ,that's exactly what they are !."

Liyanna smiled , nodding her head but, quickly wiped the smile of her face when she noticed her mother's dissaproving glare.

The two men awaited some movement from the fishing rod , as they engaged in conversation. Farhaad glanced at his thirteen year old son who was engrosssed in his technology device. He seemed bored out of his mind , like he would rather be in bed than here.

Farhaad knew it was because he wasn't sure how to act around him. While the father and son had reconciled it was not very easy for Raees to accept his father into his life all of a sudden. Initially he had been very cold towards Farhaad, firstly he grew up without a father , and secondly just when he began accepting Hamza as his fatherly figure, his biological father had arrived like a sudden tornado turning his whole life upside down. He had merely been the tender age of nine but, he had been quite upset at first. As time went on he accepted Farhaad as his father , and he behaved in an amicable manner. Farhaad was thankful for that but, he wanted to have a proper father and son relationship with him. He knew that it would take time , and he couldn't wait for that day.

They did not have a perfect relationship but, he prayed that they would one day. Without doubt times had changed, lessons from the past were deeply embedded in his heart, never to vanish from his mind. Like many others he had learnt the hard way , and that is what transformed him to be who he was today.

He took it upon himself to speak to the youth and share his experiences in order to benefit the youth, and every time he narrated his story , his emotions were so genuine and raw that he had touched the hearts of many youngsters. He just wished that they would make a change in their lives , and never be appealed and decieved by the once dark path he treaded.

It had taken a huge amount of time, it had taken heart break, tests upon tests , sorrows, pain and hardship...but, the outcome of all these heart wrenching emotions had a good outcome. He had learnt from his mistakes, for he surely endured the Consequences Of Not Repenting.

The End
