"Fuck, fuck, fuck." Jack cursed under his breath, glancing down at his bloody leg, and back at the busy road, where cops were trying to cross the road to get to him.

He hissed in pain as he tried to put the least pressure on his injured leg, limping back into the forest. He dragged his injured foot along the forest of the floor, almost feeling numb, his headache throbbing even more.

"Almost there Jack, quick, they're entering the forest!" Ben sounded through the earpiece.

Jack grunted in pain, looking over his shoulder and hearing the faint sounds of people shouting, which made him quicken his pace, hopping on one foot.

But due to his bad luck, he tripped over a log, making a loud noise as he fell onto the forest floor, grunting in pain, clutching his shoulder, biting his lip trying not to make any sounds.

The sound of people talking had stopped momentarily but had grew louder once again, getting closer to Jack, making him panic.

He felt the ground, looking for anything, and stopped once his fingers brushed over a rock. He gripped it tightly and threw it with all his might to the right, his ears twitching as he heard the rock hit the surface of water, making a loud splash.

He kept his head low, listening as one person shouted and footsteps being dispersed all over the area, faint sounds far from him.

He let out a sigh of relief as he tried to catch his breath. He lifted up his black hoodie and gripped tightly at his black t-shirt, ripping it with his sharp teeth and with shaking hands, he tied the injured part of his leg tightly with the torn fabric in his hands.

Assuming that the cops had disappeared, he lifted himself up slowly, limping his way towards a tree, leaning his back on it, hoping his headache would subside.

Once his headache had felt a bit better, he came off the tree, beginning to turn around but halted in his steps when—

"Jack! Behind you!"

A flashlight shone directly in his face, making him wince. He turned back around, gripping his scalpel tightly as a growl escaped his throat.

The shaky policeman had dropped his flashlight onto the forest floor, trembling in fear as Jack had slowly crept up on him. He was about to call for help through his walkie-talkie but he was cut off as a hand had slapped it away.

And the next thing the cop knew, he was on the floor, neck sliced in half, blood spurting out everywhere as he tried to keep the blood in, wrapping his hands around his neck but he was losing blood quickly. His eyes slowly rolled back into the back of his head and his hands fell limp by his side.

Panting, Jack spat at the dead body, quickly turning his back and limping his way back to the mansion, quickening up his pace, running, not even caring as each step he took damaged his leg even more.

His headache was throbbing and the tips of his fingers felt numb. The cold breeze of the air that blew against his face, making his brown locks dance in the air. He pulled his hood down to cover his face, not caring that he had left his mask back at the abandoned house.

As he was running all he thought about was the girl, who was probably still asleep at the mansion. Oh how much Jack wanted to wrap her in his embrace, placing gentle kisses all over the little girls face, hearing her soft giggles.

He finally made it to the mansion, and when he did, he didn't care anymore, as his hand limply turned the doorknob open and he stepped inside, his vision foggy and his legs numb and bloody as he felt himself slowly lose the battle, falling to the floor.

Immediately Ben had sat up from his comfy seat, throwing his headset away and quietly hurrying, making his way across the hallway.

In the process, Jack's door slowly swung open and there stood a sleepy girl, yawning out of tiredness, peering up at Ben who was frozen in shock.

"Hey, what are you doing this late? You should go back to sleep." Ben whispered, eyes softening as he stared at the little girl.

The girl shook her head, pointing to Ben. "Y-you should g-go back to sleep too!" The girl whined.

Ben panicked, covering the girls mouth with his hand, shushing her. "Be quiet! We can't wake the others." He whispered in an angry tone, making the girl whimper and nod silently.

Once Ben had sighed and removed his hand from the girls mouth, the girl looked around, before whispering back, "w-where's J-Jwackie?"

"Oh, um. He's outside. Just go back inside and sleep, okay? He'll be back in the morning." Ben lied, ushering the girl back inside of Jack's room, waving a goodbye and shutting the door quietly.

He let out a loud sigh as he leaned against the door, before opening his eyes wide again, quickly making his way down the stairs and letting out a loud gasp as he saw his friend lying on the ground, leg badly wounded with a puddle of blood near it.

He shakily walked over and kneeled down by Jack, shaking him, trying to get him awake. "Shit." He mumbled, trying to lift up one of Jack's shoulder to lift him up but due to his smaller frame, Jack slumped back to the ground.

Ben let out a loud groan as he resulted to another option, scurrying behind Jack's head, lifting both of his arms underneath, dragging him against the floor, leaving a trail of blood as he made his way towards Slenders office.

In an instant, the doors had magically opened and there stood Slenderman behind his desk, staring surprisingly at Jack's limp body and then back at Ben.

The wrinkles on his face formed an unamused face as he realized what has happened when he stared at the faint glowing mark on Jacks exposed neck, realizing that he had broken his vow, for the first time ever.

He walked towards Ben and Jack, nodding towards Ben, signaling him to leave. Ben lowered his head in shame and walked out. Slender glanced back at Jacks limp body, the tendrils on his back making their way towards Jack, curling themselves around Jacks limbs, slowly lifting him up.

Slender walked outside of his office, his tendrils still carying Jacks body as he made his way towards the couch in the living room, gently propping Jack down against the soft cushion, his tendrils curling back to its original place.

He placed a thin bony hand against Jacks wounded leg, unwrapping the tight fabric that was around the injury. He hovered his hand above the open wound, and slowly, a bright purple flame engulfed his hand, making the sharp glass that was hidden in Jacks flesh slowly lift itself up.

Slender raised his hand away, flickering his hand, making the purple aura lift itself into the air, as a small black hole appeared near it, the purple flame throwing the large piece of glass into the black hole, and disappeared into thin air.

Slender turned his attention back to Jack, hovering his hand back into place as the purple flame wrapped itself around Jack's wounded leg, slowly healing it. He looked down as the blood began slowly drying up and the flesh slowly regrowing back.

He let out a low mental sigh, shaking his head. It would take a few hours for the wound to heal and for Jack to be completely normal. Instead, Slender pondered the thoughts of how Jack could've gotten hurt so easily, even when he gave him the easiest victims to hunt down. And why did Jack never complete his mission for the first time?
