"La plus belle des ruses du diable est de vous persuader qu'il n'existe pas."

"The devil's finest trick is to persuade you that he does not exist."

“Not how I wanted to spend my first trip to Cybertron,” Miko muttered from her jar.

Pan rolled her eyes as her hand reached into her pocket. Turned out Lethe wasn’t taking the mickey when she said to give the last key to the Autobots.

Lethe may have hated the Autobots because they killed Quickstorm, but Pan could definitely see Lethe’s reasoning to not have Megatron rule Cybertron. Cybertron was once Lethe’s- er- Quickstorm’s home as well.

Pan looked back up at the Autobots, caughting Optimus’s optics and bringing out the key slightly from her pocket.

A small amused smile twitched at her lips as his optics widened in surprise.

Did he seriously forget about the key that would activate the Omega lock after the first four had been found?

Megatron spun around to face the four decepticons and the four humans, “Starscream.”

The silver seeker grinned devilishly, “Jack, it's time to come out and play,” His digits scratching down the side of the jar made Jack wince his hands almost going to his ears before he glared defiantly at the seeker.

“Go ahead,” Jack scowled, “The Autobots were prepared to sacrifice themselves for my planet,” His eyes darte to the Autobots before looking back the the ‘con holding him, “I'll do the same for theirs.”

“Me, too, creepy,” Miko piped up, glaring at Knockout.

Pan and Raf kept silent, knowing that they wouldn’t really be able to do anything in this situation.

Although, Pan was shoving reassuring emotions to the nervous, scared Raf.

Megatron let out a mock disappointed sigh, “Perhaps we should oblige them.”

Pan blinked at the back of the silver warlord.

“Pan, don’t!” Raf warned her.

Pan closed her eyes focusing. “Hana’s pissed.”

If Raf hadn’t been watching, and knowing what Pan was doing he probably wouldn’t have seen Megatron’s shoulders stiffen in surprise and shock. The only thing that gave away the silver mech’s reaction to Pan’s voice in his helm.

A wave of fury and anger through the faint link between Pan and the warlord made a small whimper of pain leave Pan's lips as she screwed her eyes tightly to try and hide the tears that were threatening to form.

"If my decision dooms the future of the Autobot cause on Cybertron, so be it," Optimus said gravely, "But I will never forsake our human allies."

Optimus brought the Star Saber up and implanted it into the metal surface of Cybertron before taking steps back to the Autobots.

Arcee was the first of the remaining Autobots to relinquish her relic. The Apex Armor shrinking and folding into its transporting form and the femme threw it at the 'cons, a scowl on her faceplate that hid the worry she felt as she looked at her charge.

Bulkhead, Bumblebee and Smokescreen next reach threw their relics towards the 'cons. Scowls on their faceplates.

The four humans closed their eyes in guilt. Knowing that if they had never gotten involved with this whole mess then, this wouldn't be happening.

"Now, if you please," Megatron smirked at them, "The Omega Keys. One at a time."

Knockout stepped forward with Miko, "You first, big boy."

Bulkhead looked to Optimus who gave him a nod, the ex-wrecker walk up with the key in his servo, "If I don't get the girl, I'll make you eat this key," he growled at Knockout.

The red mech faltered for a second before grinning at him, "You're welcome."

"Get scrapped," Miko snarled at Knockout.

Bumblebee walked up silently with a key, quickly switching it for Raf who smiled slightly at the yellow bot before glancing back at Pan who sat in her jar with her arms wrapped around herself.

"If this human was important enough to entrust with the Matrix of Leadership, he's worth two Omega keys," Megatron said, gesturing to Jack.

Pan's confused eyes lifted from her orange sneakers in confusion, the red optics of the silver warlord smirked at her.

Starscream placed Jack down on the ground of Cybertron, "No tricks. The keys, if you please."

Smokescreen and Arcee looked at each other before handing over the keys, Arcee grabbing Jack.

Raf blinked as Arcee moved back with Jack and Smokescreen, "What about Pan?" He asked quietly.

Optimus narrowed his optics onto Megatron who smirked.

"You didn't think that I noticed, Optimus?" The silver warlord smirked, his sharp denta glinting slightly in the dim lighting.

Optimus's optics widened as Team Prime looked between the two leaders in confusion.

"This one-" he pointed at Pan, "-isn't going anywhere with that last key."

A space bridge opened up and Decepticons rained onto the scene, forcing the majority of Team Prime to move into a circle as the 'cons surrounded them.

Pan's hands pounding on the glass of her jar furiously as tears swelled in her eyes.

The dangerous red optics of Megatron entered her vision, making her stumble back.

"You shouldn't have done that," he sneered at her.

Here's chapter twenty.

I'm so mean giving you this half of what going to be one chapter. Lol.

Wonder how Pan's going to get out of this situation this time? Any ideas?

Hope you enjoyed!
