"What if....."

“Would you mind looking after something for me, Panacea?”

Pan looked up at the Prime, her eyes twinkling with an unreadable expression as she gave him a confidant, silent(as always) nod.

Optimus almost smiled softly at his friend’s charge as he handed her the key card that shrunk down to better the human’s size.

Pan tilted her head at the key card, “What’s this?” She typed into her phone, despite knowing exactly what it was.

“It is the key to the ground bridge power supply.” Optimus said guilt flowing through his energon veins for lying to the silent girl.

Pan gave him a small smile. A small knowing smile.

Optimus’s optics widened for a split second when he saw her eyes were not her normal green, but were an Autobot blue.

Pan blinked and her eyes reverted back to green, “Take care, Optimus Prime,” She typed.

Optimus nodded his helm, his processor spinning with many thoughts.

"We let them finish building their Space-bridge," Jack said.

"Why? So they can bring more zombies back from Cybertron?"

Pan rolled her eyes at that one, tapping her finger against the side of her phone.

"No," Jack shook his head, "So we can commandeer it. And use it to send Pan to Cybertron."

Everyone looked at the girl who rolled her eyes at them, “Duh, it’s the obvious choice here,” her phone said.

Amused chuckles sounded in the room at the phone’s monotone voice despite the sarcastic sentence.

Pan glanced up at Arcee, the femme having volunteered to help Pan journey her way through Cybertron as the remainder of Team Prime held the ground bridge.

“You alright, Pan?” Arcee asked her.

Pan nodded as she held the key card out, she waved it around at the landscape of Cybertron before stopping when she felt it vibrate.

“Kaon,” Vector supplied the information for Pan.

The Hammer girl nodded to him, then glancing back up at Arcee and walking off.

Arcee took that as her cue to follow after her.

The two females walked into central Kaon.

The femme glancing around warily as Pan walked foreward, holding the key card out.

The metal in front of Pan shifted, and a structure formed from underneath the surface of the planet.

Pan tilted her head, before a warning from the Primes made her look up instantly to see an Insecticon.

“Arcee!” Pan’s space suit translated her ASL, as a warning for the femme.

The femme looked up and the Insection jumped at her, “Go, Pan!” Arcee shouted as she dodged the Insection’s first attack, “I’ve got this!”

Pan nodded, her eyes wide before she calmed down and raced towards the structure, ignoring the protests from the nurse over the comms and entering the darkness, cutting off all contact with Earth.

“Peace and quiet,” Pan sighed in relief when she realised she couldn’t hear Team Prime over the comms.

Amusement filled her mind before Prima “stepped forward”, “Come on, Panacea. Time is of the essence.”

Pan nodded, jogging onwards, dodging rubble that had most likely fell when the Vector Sigma came back up to the surface.

At least, until she came across a blocked doorway.

“This is where we must leave you,” Prima said, and Pan’s eyes widened instantly.

What? Why?Pan didn't even try to hide the panic in her voice.

Solus “wrapped” an arm around Pan, “These are your challenges, Pan,” She said hesitantly, she too was unwilling to part with the girl, “We are not allowed to help you in any way.”

Pan, although unwillingly, nodded in understanding, “Okay,” she mumbled.

The other Primes joined the “hug”, “We’ll be back as soon as you pass all of them,” Prima promised.

Pan nodded, the Primes “stepping” away from her and one by one disappearing from the back of her mind.

Megatronus remained for last, “Be careful, Panacea,” He warned her, “These challenges will not be easy.”

“Thank you, Megatronus,” Pan smiled to him.

Megatronus nodded before he too left.

Pan took a second to adjust to the odd feeling of being alone in her own head.

It was uncomfortable for her, and she shivered at the emptiness before she looked at the key card in her hand then to the massive Cybertronian door in front of her.

"You can do this," Pan whispered to herself, holding up the key towards the door, and a massive clank sounded before the door opened.

Pan gulped before letting the key guide her to the first of her challenges.

"Heed our warning, Stranger.
Five challenges lay ahead, each battle you will reach higher 'mounts.
Turn back, now. Or face your nightmares."

Pan barely glanced at the warning as she walked up to the doorway on the other side of the giant room she was in.

Pan held the key card up and the doorway opened, almost exactly like the first, only this time a chime sounded as it opened.

Pan's eyes widened as she looked into the next room, "You have got to be kidding me."

Despite not having the Primes with her, Pan could feel Amalgamous' sheepish, yet amused chuckle as if he was there.

It was literally a kids dream room. Or a department store for kids toys.

Toys stacked everywhere, there were even human sized computers there.

Pan facepalmed.

After Pan had gotten over the massive toy room she entered it, only to have doors shut behind her.

Pan sighed and made her way into the room. Stumbling as she tripped over a couple hazardous dolls on the floor, she mentally cursed Amalgamous as she finally made it to the other side.

The door opened immediately and Pan froze at the next room.

While the first was a toys room, that was nothing compared to the massive fragging lava lake she now had to cross.

Pan breathed heavily as she closed her eyes, "Seriously?" She groaned.

After a strategic plan that evolved finding a piece of rubble to act as a "boat", Pan somehow managed to get across.

When she exited the "boat", she scowled at the lava lake.

The next room was just a very dark room that Pan just had to enter then exit through the same door, but the door would then take her to the next room, which had a warning.

"Three down, two to go.
Save yourself for the last, you may need your sanity."

Pan entered, only to find herself surrounded by screams.

Her eyes widened as she heard the voices of her friends.

"Pan! Help!" Jack's voice screamed

Raf's voice was next, so much pain in it, "Pan!"

"Pan!" Miko shouted, "Save us!"

Pan managed to push them aside making it three quarters of the way before the room changed strategies.

Sniffing was heard. Very familiar sniffing that made Pan freeze.

"Pan…." Logan's heart broken voice came out the darkness, "Why didn't you do it? Why didn't you help me?"

Pan's fists tightened in the spacesuit, she clenched her eyes tight as Logan's voice continued to cry to her.

"You were supposed to help me, Pan!" Logan's voice screamed, "Pan!"

Everything then quieted for a second.

"Pan?"

Pan's eyes flew open in surprise.

"Pan, come on sweetie," Lee Hammer's voice said, "Your mother is cooking our favourite."

A tear slid down Pan's cheek. She hadn't heard her father talk in that tone for years.

"Come on, Panny," Lee's voice grinned, "Dinner's going to go cold by the time we even get there."

Pan, for a small second, imagined what it would be like to have both her mother and father together again.

Her family would be complete again, her, Thalia, Lee, and Logan.

Pan's resolve weakened the more her father's voice continued to call to her.

"Come on, little Hammer," Lee grinned.

Pan could see the smile on his face as he would attempt to mess up her hair, only to pout as she avoided his hand, laughing.

A small smile crossed Pan's lips as she closed her eyes.

"That's it, Pan," Lee encouraged, "Come get dinner with me and Thals."

Pan hadn't realised that she had started walking back towards the voice. Her body shaking with silent sobbs.

"Pan!"

The Hammer girl froze as all voices disappeared. Her eyes shot open and she looked around in confusion.

"Pan- can- read-!"

Pan snapped out of the stupor that the voice had put her in when hearing her guardians' panicked voice over the comm, she growled in frustration and stomped back over to the exit door, only marginally pleased when it opened then closed behind her.

Pan paused, regaining control of her emotions as she came to a stop beside a cybertronian sized statue of a massive cybertronian.

Her hands brushed the big metal inscription in front of her. Her mind easily translating the Cybertronian language into english for her.

"Here lies the hidden Hall of Prophecies. Only those worthy of the Hall to enter shall enter.

Return while you still can."

Pan sighed as she looked past the statue to the next door.

"Now or never," she mumbled, not realizing that she actually spoke aloud.

Pan glanced up at the statue one last time before making her way across the room with the key card in hand.

The girl didn't notice that her eyes had hued out to become more of an Autobot blue as the key card in her hand glowed.

Pan exited the "Hall of Prophecies" while ease, making her way into the next room with a relieved sigh as she spotted the Vector Sigma.

"I'm in," Pan signed, with the suit translating and sending it to Team Prime.

Cheers echoed through the commlink and Pan smiled.

Pan tilted her head up at Orion Pax who looked down at her with a rather nervous expression, "Are you certain I am worthy?"

Pan nodded her head instantly, "More than you can imagine," she spoke.

Orion nodded, and Pan released the Matrix's energy with a pleased smile on her face as twelve small balls of light flew around her before forming a necklace of sorts around her neck, each "light" becoming a bead with a symbol on it.

Pan was bursting with happiness as the twelve Primes rejoined her.

"You guys have some explaining to do," Pan said suddenly, despite her happy mood, "Especially you, Amalgamous!"

The mech in question chuckled nervously as he scratched the back of his neck cables.

"So what did happen while Pan was off comms?" Miko asked the question they were all thinking.

Everyone turned to look at the Hammer girl who was fingering the necklace around her neck with a fond smile on her face.

"I don't think we need to know," Raf said, a smile on his face as he looked at his big-sister-figure.

"Agreed, Rafael," Optimus nodded.

Here's Chapter Four!

Well, what did you guys think about that?
(Reason behind this "chapter"; there wasn't much of Pan in the rest of Orion Pax Pt.2/3 so I came up with this "What if....")
Basically the same thing that happens in the episodes happened in this book.

This is just an odd chapter out, so it has no effect on the plot what so ever.

I just wanna add that the relationship between Pan and the Primes is sort of like a spark bond, but is like totally not at the same time. Their bond has the same affects of a spark bond if broken, but their bond isn't a marriage/mate bond(that'll just be werid).
So I guess it's like a familial spark bond.
And the necklace is their way of representing it.
(And I find a way to get the necklace in the story in the "cannon" plot).

I wanna let you know I spent three hours on this chapter! (Soooo many original ideas I had to come up with........ but it probably doesn't seem that way to you guys so Imma hush now.)

Hope you enjoyed!
