Extra Chapter: Takeshi Aiza's War Diary (Part III)
A/N: Takeshi's war continues. How he survived Operation Sejong? Enjoy!

Operation Sejong. One of great Korean kings.
We're supporting them with an assault on Sariwon, in conjunction of airborne troops dropped directly into Pyongyang.
I can heard hum of transport aircraft and roar of fighters as we advance. Later I know that my friends are also took part up above.
On the other hand I can see Hornets and Strike Eagles in the lower altitude race ahead and pounded their targets along the expressway.
In a town called Sohun, we're immediately greeted by artillery fire and dismounted as gunfire hammers our vehicle from houses and buildings inside the town.
Along with us are South Koreans, British, French, bolstered by a Polish-Hungarian battlegroup while the Americans are in reserve.
Now I'm a sergeant I took initiative and lead my fireteam into a complex of apartments, and soon stumbled into the local garrison's barracks. Those guys are not as good as yesterday's force we are facing. Two South Koreans and one of the 5th squad guy was shot; despite being out-gunned, those Reds are fighting and dying to the last man.
In the eastern side of the town a Polish unit reports that they encountered Iranian volunteers fighting for North Korea. We are ordered to reinforce those Eastern Europeans. On our way two BTR attempts to block our path. The new guy replacing my position as grenadier, Private Eiji Nishikata went into a nearby tree and fired an LAM. Solid hit. Later we are reinforced by a South Korean K21-105, basically a light tank version of their K21 IFV, which destroyed the second BTR with its cannon.
We used the light tank as a cover while advancing towards the supposed position of the Iranian forces. while defeating several of ambush attempts on the way, building by building.
"Reinforcements!" said an European as they see our combined force. After almost 30 minutes we arrived at the Polish-Hungarian position, heavily engaged with Iranians occupying an apartment complex. Second later we heard engine sound and clanking of tracks.
"Pokpung-hos!" said a Polish soldier upon a platoon of Pokpung-ho tanks sighted heading towards our position and managed to fire a first shot on a group of Hungarian soldiers. I can see a Polish ATGM crew retaliated by firing their Israeli-made Spike which hit the turret ring of the lead tank, incinerating everyone inside.
I cannot stand and let those tanks interfere with us, so the Noboru ordered our squad to enter an office building to prepare an ambush. In the second floor we can saw the North Korean tanks attempted to retreat after losing their lead tank. Then I ordered Kakuzo to use the LAM, before it can happen the tanks exploded.
"What the hell?" he asked. The answer turned to be four Polish Leopard 2A5 tanks equipped with applique armor which positioned themselves behind the enemy tank column, the tanks subsequently repositioned to support the Eastern Europeans taking the apartment, while we covered them.
Much respect for our new allies from Eastern Europe.

We are still not fully secured Sariwon as the remaining North Korean sectors further north are extensively reinforced. But as airborne troops had secured Pyongyang, surprising its defenders, it's a matter of time before they will be cut off from supply and reinforcements. Coalition Apaches from America, Korea, and Britain covered us overhead as we continue to push northward.
Now the South Koreans are dominating the assault by throwing an entire mechanized brigade as the main thrust. For this mission our regiment are under their command tactically. At 0800 we approached their main line of defense near the Pyongyang-Kaesong highway section.
"Incoming!" said the Lieutenant, we took cover as a loud screech, and rain of Grad rockets from a hill up northeast slammed into the city. The barrage hit us hard and one company of my battalion has virtually wiped out as the result. Counter-battery fire replied in kind, then we saw something like tactical ballistic missile flying overhead towards the enemy, and hit two hills ahead of us with a massive explosion.
"Who's using those missiles?" I asked Sergeant Noboru.
"It's South Koreans, those guys has something called KTSSM (Korean Tactical Surface-to-Surface Missile), just like the American ATACMS they fired it from their M270s or HIMARS. Those big rockets had made destroying hardened Nokor arty position much more easier, together with aircraft."
"So desu ka" I replied.
Precision strike is a thing of beauty.
---
"Tanks, up ahead! Type-59s!"
This time our tanks are the first to respond and destroyed four -59s with a cost of a South Korean KW1 APC. Followed the tanks, BMPs and BTRs rose up to challenge us by firing their ATGMs.
"Shit, here goes one of ours!" A South Korean near us cursed as one of their K1 tank was hit by one of the BTR's mounted Kornet ATGM and destroyed, meanwhile one other K1 managed to intercept another missile using its Trophy.
"Kakuzo, take that BMP out!" I ordered the LAM carrier to position himself to destroy a nearby BMP, currently suppressing B company, I provide covering fire as he fired the rocket which hit its gas tank, the resulting explosion and fire burned nearby North Koreans near the vehicle. On the right side Fujii are holding back enemy infantry charge with his Minimi. At 1340 the Koreans called air strike, and four Strike Eagles dropped JDAMs in front of their position in both left and right flank, followed by our F-2s firing ASMs to thin out oncoming enemy armored vehicles.
The airstrike doesn't stop there, however; as a squadron of American B-52s soon passed our position and drop their massive payload on position north of Sariwon, accompanied by four F-15s and surprisingly, F-35s.
Our company now covering a factory along with a company of British infantry from 8th Infantry Brigade supported by GTK Boxer APCs fighting North Koreans in its perimeter and blocked the sole road connecting it into the rest of the city and using it as a cover.
"We need engineers to get rid of those blockades" Eri said to Noboru while RPGs screeching overhead, one barely missed the Boxer.
I can heard him soon talked to the company CO, and coordinated with the British and South Koreans, managed to call an American Assault Breaching Vehicle to destroy the blockade, in conjunction of tank fire by two supporting Abrams. After spending time in reserve the Americans are started to be committed into this battle.
"Go!" We advanced as soon as the barricade was destroyed along with KPA soldiers and militias guarding it.
My division are in the center, along with South Korean 9th Mechanized Brigade, which also has a Filipino regimental combat team attached into it, and element of British 8th Infantry Brigade, left flank is newly-formed Japanese 22nd Brigade reinforced with elements of the American 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, arrived in Korea five days ago, and right flank is primarily French 6th Light Armored Brigade, British 8th Infantry Brigade, and "Solidarity" brigade, a joint Polish and Hungarian mechanized brigade.
As the American 1st ABCT are being deployed the Indian 1st Armored Division took their place ready to plug any Nokor breaches.
"Heliborne infantry, shoot it down before it can outflank us!" a recon unit has reported North Korean helicopters attempted to land paratroopers behind our lines. A suicidal mission, as we have air superiority.
Almost immediately the incoming Mi-8s carrying North Korean paratroopers are greeted with heavy AA fire and later South Korean FA-50s redirected to air-intercept duty, ending the flanking maneuver with up to eleven helicopters shot down.
---
Well, time is short, I might need to wrap this entry up soon as we are expected to be ready all the time for combat missions.
The North Koreans attempted a final attack with one armor and one mechanized division deployed from Koksan, attempted to drive a wedge between us and our reserves by capturing Sohung, one of our supply depots. But the Indians behind our lines soon give the North Koreans a nasty surprise and routed them all, helped by the entire Coalition airpower and in some extent, a mutiny in the 88th Mechanized Division of the North Koreans that resulted in weakened support for their tanks. The deployment also a fatal mistake from their part, as it allowed South Korean 2nd Armored Brigade and German 13th Mechanized Infantry Division to capture the city and further threaten Pyongyang.
