The sounds of gunshot and bullets falling rang out through the entire empty Abandoned Dorm as Chris continued round after round as she stopped to catch her breath and take the sound mufflers off her ears.

As much as she enjoyed battling, the sound of gunshot is always different from the sounds of her Relic, as she finished up with her practice, she grabbed her red towel and began to wipe the sweat off of her forehead before walking over to pick up the empty bullet casings and taking the old dummy out to burn before stopping when she heard footsteps coming her way as she pulled out an unused gun and pointed it at the moving person as she fired off every shot and bullet there was in the gun but the figure got away.

She began running after the perpetrator before stopping when the person vanished as she cursed under her breath as she walked out with the burning feeling of someone following her as she pretend to ignore the feeling before firing off another shot and got no sign of anything as she shrugged and walked away.

As she walked to her dorm, she saw Viper heading somewhere and her gut was telling her to follow him but her head telling her not to otherwise as she decided to listen to her head and tried to ignore the bad feeling she received just by looking at him.

Genjuro was on the phone with his assistant, Ryoko, giving him new info about the Bio-Band and he wasn't happy with the info he got before hearing Maria Cadenzavna Eve join in on the conversation along with Shirabe and Kirika, Maria said that she would join up with the others at Duel Academy ASAP and Shirabe and Kirika would stay behind before someone in the back went off about an interference with the comms and trying to listen in as he told the others to hang up and he'll call the other person on the line before both went dead.

"Damn...Someone is listening in..." He cursed as he went to find the other girls to join up before seeing the note on Tsubasa's door as well as Axel's.

"Damn it!" He cursed out loud as he began running outside where he saw Adrian Gecko walking outside from the party he made and Hibiki refusing the invite from him, saying that she was too busy with her schedule.

The sound of a helicopter above brought to his attention as both Genjuro and Adrian looked up to see Maria jumping and landing on a platform Chazz was about to climb onto before agreeing to let her duel.

Her duel disk activated looking like Hibiki's duel disk only darker in black and purple before she took out her deck and placed it in as electricity ran through her arm where the duel disk was as she grunted in pain.

Maria began to sing through the duel while grunting in pain as her duel disk shocked her and Adrian noticed but he didn't say anything until then as she summoned her first monster.

'This is bad...I forgot my LiNKER for the Black Gungnir, I have to finish this quick otherwise, it will reject me completely and destroy itself.' Maria thought to hersefl as she kept her focus on the duel as she watched carefully and hoped that the outcome of the duel would help understand why every student is dropping like flies since the survival duels began before Hibiki and the others came out to see Maria as Hibiki squealed at the sight of her friend.

"Maria-san!" She exclaimed happily as she began explaining that Maria is a good friend of hers and she's a good singer with Tsubasa as she pulled out her phone and showed a video of the concert with Tsubasa and Maria singing their latest song, Angelic Remnant, as Syrus squealed. "I love that song!" He said as he calmed down by clearing his throat.

"Wait, this is just plum weird. If your good friend is here dueling? Shouldn't she be wearing a Bio-Band like us?" Jesse asked as Hibiki shrugged as she looked back at the camera watching them as she pretended to rub her eye with her middle finger but in reality, she was giving Viper the bird.

Viper crushed his mug of fresh coffee when he saw Hibiki flipping him off as he growled at the sight of the blonde disrespecting him.

"That. Little. Bit-" He was cut off by the voice behind him for almost cussing out loud.

"Watch your tongue!" It hissed at him as he quickly shut his mouth before cleaning the coffee mess on the ground. "Right..." He said as he continued watching the duel before seeing the girl, Maria grunt in pain from her duel disk as he began scanning it and got something interesting from it.

"A Relic User, how pleasant." He said as the alarm rang over and saw many students dueling with the drain level up too high as he lowered it so they would only be tired from the duel.

"That slimy arrogant little Gecko!" He shouted as he saw on the other camera was Tsubasa and Axel making their way to the entrance, he got up and began walking to the entrance to...'greet' them.

Axel remembered what Tsubasa told him to do as they approached the front entrance as she looked to him before giving his hand a squeeze, something she did for a habit whenever she and Kanade walked down the dark hallways alone.

She did the same when Axel visited for a while with training, she remembered that it was raining so bad, he stayed over for the night until the rain cleared, the power went out and Tsubasa hated the dark, mostly, the dark hallway with no emergency lights.

Sure, it was a little kid fear, but everyone still fears the dark for reasons, Kanade was like the whole sun shining bright and full of warmth while Tsubasa was the moon, shining with little almost to no light and cold.

Axel, he was a bonfire, he gave off the light and warmth needed for those who are cold and alone, in all her years of singing and fighting, she came to realization after Kanade's death.

She wasn't alone anymore.

She and her step-cousin, hand in hand, ready to fight whatever comes their way.

"Isn't this a sweet family reunion?" A voice hissed as Tsubasa pulled out her katana as a usual instinct as she looked to see Professor Viper. 

"Sadly, it's game over for both of you." He said as Axel charged before Tsubasa saw the attack coming as she pushed herself in front of him as she felt her mind slip away from the harsh punch before they both fell into a trap hole as Axel held Tsubasa close to him, protecting the girl who was his step-cousin and now considered her a sister.

"Now...back to where I left off." Viper said as the trapdoor closed as he walked back to the same room where he left.

Maria finished the duel and the song off with a grand finale as her Melodious Diva struck Adrian in the chest as her duel disk began to shock her violently as she screamed loudly in pain as Adrian fell to the platform literally drained of energy while Maria was screaming as the electricity from the Black Gungnir rejected her completely as it transformed back into a red crystal and shattered into a million pieces before falling into the water as Hibiki shouted her name out loud. 

"MARIA-SAN!!!"

Hibiki dove into the water to bring her friend up to the surface as the helicopter placed the platform down before both flew away.

"We need to to get them both to the infirmary!!" Hibiki said as she ran, carrying Maria in her arms as she looked to see the various burns left from the rejection of Black Gungnir as she picked up speed to run while the others brought Adrian to his dorm.

'Maria-san...don't die...Serena wants you to live!' Hibiki said as she knew the worst to come...

Viper just started a war and the battle isn't over yet.
