03| a meaningless conversation chapter because I can

And as the ark, they walked in pairs.. well, except Sammy for Cindy had occupied his.. Angel, for the time being and he walked alongside his brother and Castiel, following the two humans that belonged to this apocalyptic world.

Castiel kept glancing at Cindy, telling himself it was because he was afraid she'd try and touch his wings again and he'd like to see the violation coming, though the real reason was entirely different and hadn't even crossed anyone's mind yet, something he felt within.. A pull. The same pull that Gabriel felt but something so small and rare wouldn't cross their mind for a while, after all.. They had a mission.

"So.. Cindy." Gabriel spoke to the girl that stepped through the second portal he had seen that day and then immediately hug him which he had to admit made him curious. "What brings you to this horrible choice of holiday destination?" Obviously she had to have some control over it seeing as she was the only one to step through and she hardly seemed upset about it, on the contrary..

Cindy shrugged. "The golden crack." She didn't exactly elaborate as she looked around the place until her eyes widened at the sight, while some of Gabriel's wings were folded tightly to his back, two of them arched around her slightly as they walked, not touching her but almost in a protective manner.

Cindy had to force herself not to reach out and touch them, they glimmered when the light hit them and she forced herself not to look at them, the temptation might be too much for her to handle, instead she smiled up at his face as he spoke to her. Castiel's actions were in the back of her head, she didn't want to upset Gabriel, she wouldn't be able to bare it.

"I don't trust her." She overheard the distinct sound of Dean's voice as he whispered to Sam, she frowned, a little hurt. What wasn't there to trust..

"You don't trust anyone." Sam sighed, glancing back at Cindy to which Cindy immediately looked away.

"That's not true.. I trust you... And Cas.." Dean reverberated weakly.

Though she didn't realize it yet, there was no way Cindy should've been able to hear what they were saying under normal circumstances but there was nothing normal about the situation she found herself in, and she had yet to realize that her senses were heightened, that she could see and hear things which shouldn't have been possible for a human girl and definitely did she not pay attention to the sudden weight that pushed down on her upper body.

"So I have to ask." Gabriel continued speaking though Cindy's attention weren't completely with him anymore. "Why did you hug Castiel and me when you stepped through?" Gabriel really wanted to know, he had been in various situations were girls did in fact flung themselves at him, once quite literally but he a simple hug from Cindy.. He had never experienced it quite like hat.

"Because who wouldn't." She responded flatly as she stared at the back of Dean's head, after a moment of silence, Cindy looked back at Gabriel to see him frowning and decided to elaborate. "You're my favorite.. well, one of them. I have yet to decide who wins."

Gabriel frowned. "Favorite?" He echoed back to her.

"You know.. You, Cas.. Lucifer. " she stated, oblivious to the change of expression on Gabriel's features as his wing slightly edged away from her. She turned to face Gabriel with an intensely serious expression and he swore he saw fire behind her eyes for a split second. "I've seen every episode at least five times and I'm still not sure and its come to my attention that maybe I can't."

"Episode.." Gabriel muttered, his sudden frown flattening after a moment. "You mean the books."

"No, the show. " she states, a grin forming on her lips. "I'm so glad you're back.. And I'm glad I'm having this dream, its one of the best I've had. "

Gabriel just stared at her, a weak smile appearing on his lips as the walked forth, wondering if he should tell her that she was in fact not dreaming.

"Uhm.. Cindy.." Gabriel said. "There's something.. This isn't a dream."

"Sure it isn't." Cindy responded, after all what kind of dream will tell her it is a dream right.

"We're here." Sam said, as he looked between Cindy and Gabriel, handing her a machete. "It doesn't look like you have something to protect yourself with." Sam smiled reassuringly, he didn't exactly see her as a threat even with Dean's apprehension, to be honest, he saw her less as a threat the more he and Dean spoke of her.

"Something moves. You aim for its head." Dean stated firmly before turning around and disappearing into the darkness of the cave like structure.

Yes, ik its lame af but luci wanted an update and guilt tripping works..
