He rewrites yesterday’s number on the sand.

“This happens every other day because chiefs don’t live very long on this island.”

In the middle of the forest the dauntless dodos lie dormant in their nest, till loud screams wake them.

“It’s the coward shirds again!” A sleepy dodo annoyingly exclaimed. Angry murmurs arose.

“Just go back to sleep they’ll be gone soon.” Another dodo spoke up and immediately.

Everyone went back to sleep.

“Their lack of awareness always amuses me,” he  says sitting atop yet another tree.

On the ship, the humans are screaming because there is an infestation of rats.

“Here comes catalyst number two, the invasive species.”

“Oi, Stout! Get the swords, we’ve got to get them off the ship!” Both captain and crew are trying to kill a swarm of rats on board. They’ve succeeded in killing a few but the number of rats escaping outweighs that number tenfold.
The rats take refuge into the dense forest, which provided an unrestricted habitat for them. Those rats will multiply and soon steal and eat eggs in the forest belonging to the dodos.

“However, that’s a problem for future me to worry about, right now is napping time!”
