Two of which the two of them got to know each other a little better which Jim thought was really good brownie points when it came to getting Chloe's parents to like him

Jim responded to him telepathically: Do you really think so... I mean of course I'm a charming young man and I need to get along with her if I want to end up with Claire

Ophelia answered: yes of course and our town has brought in a lot of profit because of that in fact we are able to finish some stuff we need been trying to start for years it just nags on me that someone managed to break into the bank and not even leave a fingerprint or seen by any cameras

Jim felt the urge not to ask but did anyway: really what's the matter with your marriage?

The council woman despite the idea of sharing her marital problems with a 16-year-old, she told him anyway: well... Me and my husband have been growing distant recently I actually know it's been that way since the start

Jim was confused he was under the impression that the council woman and her family were literally the perfect image of a perfect family: wait you mean you haven't been happy with your marriage from the start?

Ophelia laid back in her chair: truthfully I didn't even want to marry him in the first place I just got pregnant with Claire And then my parents insisted on us getting married which he was happy to oblige with and that was the end of that honestly we had a one night stand which kind of ruin the rest of my life

Jim: hey I wouldn't say it's ruined I mean you've got a family and you're in a pretty important place in the town how can you say that your life has been ruined

Ophelia: Because I like my daughter wanted to become an actress and because of the events I was unable to sure I have a really good job but it's not really what I wanted to do with my life, I'm proud of Claire for trying to chase her dreams of becoming an actress But I'm also scared that she's gonna end up like me stuck in a job she hates. I mean don't get me wrong it puts food on the table I am proud for that but I just wish One moment in my dream I just want to be free for like one night

Jim kind of understanding where the council woman was coming from: I think I get it but you can't keep worrying about what happened in the past you've got to keep focusing on the future at least that's what I think

Ophelia stood up from the chair: oh believe me I know, it's just well... Can I show you something and you have to promise not to tell anyone else

The troll hunter was confused by this but went along with it anyway. They went outside into the council woman's car and drove off to the very outskirts of Arcadia. Jim wasn't really sure what was going on but he trusted Claire's mother although he wasn't exactly comfortable with going out into the forest with a stranger

Ophelia nervously nodded: yeah I mean I know most people perceive me as an uptight woman but the truth is I just like to let loose as well .
