Today is the worst day of my life, and considering how the past few weeks have been that is saying a lot and I because today is my birthday.No I know most people would be excited about having a birthday not me it's just a reminder of the day my dad left my mum says that I need to start living in the past about this day but I just can't it's difficult to get over, I mean of all the days my dad left he had to choose my birthday and he did it without no explanation no letter no reason he just got up one day and disappeared and we've heard no word from him since.

I tell her the cover story: well actually this is why I've been disappearing so often me and my new friend I've been making this motorbike and getting my provisional license so I can ride it I know I should've told you I was going to but I didn't think we would be finished for at least another month but apparently my best friend worked on it by himself for the past few days now it's finished can you believe it

Mum put on a small smile: yeah I can't believe it... Your friend really cares about you doesn't it but with a gift like this kind of makes my present a bit small in comparison

That's when I noticed she's got the food mixer 3000 in her hands oh yeah I can see why that would be considered small in comparison to a motorbike: i'm sorry Mum like I said I didn't think we were gonna be finished with this for another month if I had known he was gonna-

Zoom off and I've never felt more alive, even though I'm not really doing much of this is so much fun the wind in my face and zooming around on a hot bike is so much fun. Namora message me about it last night told me about how they're using it to test me, if not to kill me which is one of the reasons why I asked Nari to stay with me overnight I didn't expect us to be sleeping together but it was the best way I could think of to keep that thing off me and also because I wanted to distract streak because he is paranoid about it to be fair this is a dangerous predator but he keeps saying it's a bird and now he has the proof to show that all birds are after us I did not make that up those were his exact words.

I tell her: yeah but it's all part of the plan don't worry nothing will attack me so long as I'm not alone and once we get to school I'll be around a bunch of people and I'll figure out a way to get rid of that thing

I wonder when Jim is going to get here? I need to thank him for babysitting my little brother, and for talking to my mother and getting her to be relatively kind with my punishment or just a few weeks of doing the dirty dishes it could've been a lot worse. But thankfully Jim managed to convince her otherwise of course my dad wasn't happy with me having a boy over which I don't completely understand I mean I wasn't there so nothing could've happened but hey that's Dad for you

In all honesty I wanna know how he Did it he got my mother to see reason, it's something that not even my dad has been able to do seriously I wanna know how he did this. Mary and Darcy already went in Partly because we have a Spanish test in a few minutes but I still want to wait and talk to Jim first it would be a lot easier if Steve would stop bragging about his reservoir why did I go with him again oh yeah he was the only one with the wheels

Now I'm paying the price with him bragging about how good the rest that is right next to me and ignoring him for the most part but he can't seem to take a hint, finally I spoke to the person I've been looking for but not in the context that I thought I'd find him he's on a motorbike with that girl Nari they stop in front of the school and Jim parks the motorbike in a parking space while Nari gives him a quick kiss on the cheek and walks off

Steve looks absolutely dumbfounded about what he just witnessed, got to hand it to Jim he really knows how to make an entrance he just rode him here on a motorbike with a hot girl every guys gonna be jealous of him

I walk over to Jim as he parks his motorbike: when did you get a motorbike?

He turns around: oh hi Claire... Funny story actually this is what me and my friend have been working on for the past months it's a bit of a side project we've been working on honestly I didn't think we'd be finished for another few months but he pulled the overnight to get it done today I really owe him

That's weird I wonder what's so special about today: so this is the reason why I've been flaking out on us to fix a bike

I nodded as he explains: well you see because if he's condition he can't learn how to drive so in response to this I got my provisional driving license and we started building a motorbike so that we could have some fun it's something he's always wanted to do and I just couldn't say no

Oh I understand now it might be like a last wish sort of something: oh well it looks nice did you guys really build it from scratch

Jim: kind of I mean we bought all the parts and we found the engine in a junkyard we just needed to put everything together and obviously make sure it's safe do you wanna go for a ride sometime?

I would actually like that so I'm nod: So anyway the reason why I came up to you right now it's because I wanna thank you for babysitting my little brother, and for calming my mother down and she's only given me a week of washing the dirty dishes as punishment trust me it could've been a lot worse

Jim: it's no problem he was an...angel anything about your parents was no trouble at all

I told him the other side of what I want to talk about: well it's not just that it's the fact you actually got my mother to see reason, I mean she's the council woman and that place is a lot of pressure on me and Dad along with the rest of the family but you've made us a reason in my punishment how did you do that?

Jim smirks: oh it was nothing special I just turned on the charm~

I giggle at his expression, the universe then walk into school together. I like how Jane has become more confident in himself and I like how he's taking care of his friend is. But there's something about this whole situation and I just can't quite put my finger on something that's rather suspicious
